It's weird because when he first burst onto the scheme against Forest last year all he did was beat men and swing balls in.
Today he took three touches to control the ball and have a look round then play the safest pass backwards. We just didn't have anything going down the right until he went off then all of a sudden we were rampant down there. Admittedly some of that will be because Dabo is incredible but he should still be providing something.
manager Veljko Paunovic told BBC Radio Berkshire:
"It's a difficult loss. We played until the last second a pretty mature and good game.
"The first half went our way and, in the second half, we recomposed ourselves after their goal. We had a couple of situations we could have affected better but we lacked clarity in the final third and the final product.
"The last second is the only thing and I am very sorry because the guys fought very hard, very well. Not only against the team in front of us but against very suspicious officiating."
clearly not watching the game that took place at the CBS Arena. Everybody else at fault for the poor team performance he managed.
He sounds very much like a manager that won't last the season if he's already shifting blame onto anything he can and not taking responisbility.manager Veljko Paunovic told BBC Radio Berkshire:

They got exactly what their time wasting deserved, nothing. Difficult to conclude that they were hard done to by the referee over the whole game.
I think it was partly because of a handball in midfield (can’t remember who it was, but looked like it hit his hand, maybe Fadz?) right in front of their dugout. The ref was the other side of the incident and the linesman may as well not have been there anyway. I got the impression that it was moaning from that that got him booked. But I might be making all that up (apart from the handball and subsequent histrionics from the Reading bench).See their gaffer had a whinge in his post match interview about having to deal with some 'very suspicious officiating'. Bit deluded given the amount of fouls they got off the ref. I presume he's mainly referring to the additional time but they brought that on themselves with time wasting and assistant manager getting the booking for gobbing off.
Hmmm I do wonder where that minute and 7 seconds has come from….
David Webb has always been a feckin useless wankerI don’t normally moan about referees but I thought the one yesterday was awful inconsistent in the extreme with his advantages apart from eagerly producing his yellow card
I was being sarcasticReading time wasting! Including the ref fetching the ball for Reading free kick...

I think most people are being realistic, and that reality is that we have improved massively and look like a Championship team.
We have 9 points on the board inaquarter of the time it took us last season.
Don't think anyone's getting carried away and I'm sure at times it will be tough going this season but we've had a great start which is worth enjoying.
Under Robins we have had constant progression lets just hope that continuesIn previous years in this league we often had very good starts before petering off. Who’s to say we will again this time but what’s clear is we’re a better side than last season which is all that can be asked

And we are 9 points closer to safety in less time than last season
four quick ones
1. There is sharp contrast between what was being said before Allen's goal and that after the game. Alot of re-writing history going on
2. There was also a contrast between what was said on here and what Bianca Westwood reported. She thought we were really good before the Reading goal and was about to say so, when out of the blue Reading scored.
3. Our victories have been against three teams that will be in the relegation scrap - and have all been narrow ones at that. Please be realistic (in my dreams)
4. Just how good was Godden's positioning, speed of feet and accuracy of shot. It was what sorts the professionals from the rest. And also O'Hare and Hamer in their desire to snatch a winner.
Other than for the penalty to go in3 wins out of 4 and the only loss in there wwas against a team that ammesed yellow cards like they were made of gold and we conspired to miss a penalty.
You couldn't really ask for much more.
that just highlights a weakness. one goal,in the last minute, is as narrow as it gets. The scoreline has been narrow but we've created a lot, so it's not particularly accurate to suggest the wins have been narrow in the true sense of the term
just my 10p worth - the way we are playing off the ball to make the runs -Reminds me a bit of England at the Euros - yes play from back but when you watch the next match at home have a look , did not seeSo much at Barnsley or Blackpool so a home thing but still there - sheaf - Hamer - Dabo - McFaz - backbone .Don’t think we will go down - mid table this year as a min . Fingers crossed on injuries and transfer market does not rockboat - esp with Hamer and Ohare
Laughed at the Reading fans calling us tinpot, when there is this on youtube showing their 'fantastic' support.
Odd. Really odd.
The were compact and organised in the first half but that game was so one sided it was obvious. Moore had the easiest game of his life yesterday and their pen was out of nowhere and completely against the run of play.
Winning it at the death makes it close but if we had won 5-1, no complaints. Does their manager not understand the game?
after the restart of the game 48 minutes Reading player went down outside of our Area and had the trainers on it took 3.30 minutes to get him up and then subsequently took him 1;30 minutes to go off so thats 5 minutes then add on subistutes 1:30 minutes and our 1st goal 30 seconds to finally add up to 8.30 minutes

we are playing better but context is always important #flattrackbully
Flat track bullies? I thought they were narrow wins. Make your mind up.that just highlights a weakness. one goal,in the last minute, is as narrow as it gets.

Huge for beliefFlat track bullies? I thought they were narrow wins. Make your mind up.
Also booking manager and assistant in extra time adds some more onafter the restart of the game 48 minutes Reading player went down outside of our Area and had the trainers on it took 3.30 minutes to get him up and then subsequently took him 1;30 minutes to go off so thats 5 minutes then add on subistutes 1:30 minutes and our 1st goal 30 seconds to finally add up to 8.30 minutes
Was it the keeper, or the ref ?Anyone else see fadz turn round to the keeper after they celebrated the winner saying that’s time
Brilliant
Exactly this. I thought their defence played well…lots of interceptions and challenges…otherwise it would easily have been 5 or more. But outside of their half Reading were atrocious and didn’t trouble Moore at all. Their one decent chance was the penalty given to them by a poor ball from Hamer and an unnecessary challenge from Dabo. As for the extra time added…if your coach doesn’t argue with the ref, if you take a free kick instead of waiting for the ref to walk and retrieve ball, if your subs leave the field in quick time and not waste as much as they dare…..then you go into the dressing room at 1-1 having gained an undeserved point. But with all the shenanigans Reading got exactly what they deserved…a big round zero

Great performance and atmosphere yesterday.
Sheaf was class, although no one had a bad game, even if O’Hare was a little quiet. Da Costa is still a liability though!
Seem to have a really tight squad group and having the fans back appears to have really galvanised them.
My only gripe is, is there any chance they could open a few more bars? Nightmare getting a beer!
