Two of the biggest teams in the world, it should be a great game however didnt they ruin it by diving, faking injuries and trying to get people sent off! Really big shame!

Messi on the other hand, total class!

It seemed to me that Barca's game plan was to get a Madrid player sent off and then play real football against 10 men.

Messi's second goal was brilliant but whilst Madrid had 11 men he went missing.

It amazes me why such a technically gifted team need to use such dirty tactics.

While the Barca players can indeed hold on to the ball as indicated by the possession ratio of 72% for the game, it was really sideways football for most of it and frankly didn't find it that entertaining. Now when they went a man down they started to play a bit of cut and thrust which made it worth watching. Second Messi goal was fantastic. That's why I prefer the ManU method of quick counter-offence. Much more entertaining for the neutrals. I think Barca will have their hands full with the ManU speed of attack. Wasn't surprised they cut Arsenal to bits as they have the poorest defence of the major Euro teams. Agreed with the comments above about the diving and theatrics....but the Spanish, Portugese and Italians have been famous for it for 50 years now... they aint a gonna change. The continental refs are playing into their hands as well. They really are taken in by some of the deathly tackles...funny how they recover quickly when the cards are shown to their assailants. Unfortunately, Euro football is getting a bit wussy, can't touch anyone as they 'll fall over and feign near-death.

Pepe didnt deserve that red card and before he was sent off he was keeping Messi under control most of the time with him gone and the extra space for Barca to exploit it was only a matter of time before they broke the deadlock......Messi second goal was amazing and literally me and my mate turned to each other and said the same thing "What a goal"

Nice goal but you see plenty like that scored each week. He is a wonderful player but has got to the stage where if he wipes his arse its the best anyone has ever seen! Terrible game which reminded me why I don't watch continental football much. Got sucked in expecting an exhibition and ended up watching grown men act like babies, absolutely pathetic.

great goals but as you've all said, really naff game up till that point.

If a player manages to turn three times in the air or do three rolls on the floor, while crying, then he should get sent off there and then. Some of the diving was pathetic and im surprised it wasn't picked up on by the ref. Again i'd have sent least three players off for the dives and the guy who went off on the stretcher only to be brought back on within 2 mins was a joke (okay, he got nicked, on the SHIN PADS).

pepe sending off was awful, yes i agree that alves palnned this and rolled half way down the pitch before being 'stretchered' off. Is it me or does Alves look a bit like Marcus Hall? Obviously not a talented!
