Despite the optimism generated by the new signings over the summer tonights abysmal performance at Wrexham following on from defeat at Nuneaton has brought us back down to earth with a bump. This should act as a pre-season wake up call, but where do we go from here?

we need a striker

we need a good striker and we need to spend money to get one . if we dont it just going to be like last year and then AT will lose his job and the crowds will dwindle and we will then be in the shit !

Newcastle got thumped by some lower league side 6-1 the pre season before there championship campaign. It's bad but it is pre -season still. Need to do something drastic though or we will e losing like this when it matters again

We also need a decent CM - Kilbane is a LB/LM not a central midfielder and the only other two are Deegan and Thomas. Need someone who can dictate

What optimism? This place is always full of pessimism.
