Got back into Guinness after hardly touching it the best part of 20 years. Forgot how delicious it is, and just in time for the pint cans coming out.

Shame I've got covid or I would be indulging right now, so all I can do is fantasise about it.

Has anyone tried the nitrosurge device or is it just a gimmick?

Proved a disaster - I thought it was a good idea to drink Guiness zero having never really consumed it. Decided I’d try a real one to see - with typically disastrous consequences

Getting into non alcoholic beers as I like beer but am a lightweight so don't really midweek drink.

The Erdinger and Guinness ones are nice but I need to find some more.

Brooklyn special effects is by far the best I’ve tried

Lucky Saint is decent on draft. Guinness Zero by far the closest to the real thing.

I think the Erdinger tops it, it's basically the same taste as the full fat version.

Guinness 0 is fantastic - it's the only non alcoholic beer that I can drink and don't miss the original.

Took a couple of cans into the office last week and me and one of the lads had a sneaky one.

Blond larger is a nice crisp beer. It's made by Hepworths.

Blonde Lager 5.0% - Hepworth & Co Brewers

Blonde is an organic lager with a crisp, fresh flavour which makes it a perfect accompaniment to all food. The organically grown hops deliver a floral note to the brew, and the purity of flavour is protected by meticulous cold filtration. The result is an authentic craft beer, gluten free,…

Lucky Saint. I went into a pub that had it on draft the other day and it's by far the best NA experience I've had.

Beavertown Lazer Crush is also pretty good if you want an IPA - they also do "Satellite" which is 2.8%, so a good middle ground.

Heineken 0.0 is actually not too bad really and much cheaper than the above.

Rare day off today, I’ve been for a long run, the kids are away for the day and now planning a few drinks in the sun in Coventry.

It’s been a while; any recommendations for craft beer places? Or if not, decent real ale?

My old haunts are either closed down or closed today!

Pretty disappointed in the limited options to be honest, but on the plus side 3/4 we went to were good!

Route; Gonzo (always good choice but too much strong stuff for a chilled afternoon) - Sky Blue Tavern for novelty purposes (horrendous selection) - The Yard (it’s the old Drapers, great seats in the sun and decent craft choice) - Triumph Brewhouse (really impressed).

They used to sell that in my local Asda back when I lived elsewhere, haven't seen it since then. Great beer.
