I’ve seen people saying we haven’t blown £45m. Let’s use a worst case scenario to see how much we could generate in the current squad.

Wright: £20m?
Simms: £2m
EMC: Hard to estimate but if he continues his form £5-10m?
MVE: £8m
Sheaf: £8m
Eccles: £4m
Torp: £500k?
Sakamoto: £1m
BTA: £1m
Dovin: £1m
Kitching: £1m
Thomas: £3m?
rudoni: £3m
Lati: £1m

Other misc players: £5m?

I make that around £60m so all is not lost. There should be money for Lampard to reinvest if players go.

Sheaf is losing value faster than my crypto portfolio.
Dovin on the other hand should fetch considerably more than a million if he keeps going the way he's going though we've been here before with keepers.

Not just a question of trying to assess their value but also finding clubs wanting to sign them. Also factor in the current thinking that prices in English football will start to drop, as financial restrictions squeeze the top clubs. That’s just a theory floating around but it makes sense.

We’d definitely get that amount back. And we haven’t blown £45m. We sold some players for huge profit and spent it.

Haji will go for 15-20m.

Sheaf is rapidly losing value but should bag 5m at least and Milan would be 7-10m.

All of them will go in the next 6 months and that's going to be a huge pot to rebuild again. Plus any other money we can recoup for likes of BTA, Lati etc.

It’s all bollocks but I’d guess closer to £50m for those mentioned. We won’t get £20m for Wright for example, more like half that.

I wouldn’t count Sheaf and Eccles either as they weren’t brought in with the £45m.

I think some of those players will have to drop down a level to get game time, so fees will be negligible. As for EMC, behave, he’s only had a handful of decent games. We would be lucky to get our money back on him.
Wright and Sheaf have pedigree and would attract a few quid. I think Sheaf has deteriorated because he’s not happy at Cov, he thought he was getting his big money move and it didn’t happen.
MVE also looks disinterested at times but could be better with better players around him.

You could sell Wright and MVE and recoup around half what we've paid in fees since King took over. Not exactly the terrible outcome some want to make out.

Wright's on course to match his total from last season incl. assists. Don't think you'd get someone with his skillset and two seasons in this league with c. 20 goal involvements (and two years on his contract) for less than £15m tbf. MVE is talked about with bids around £8m.

I thought it was €8m so around £6m for MvE.

Maybe on wright. £12-15m seems about right. He’s not young and hasn’t exactly ripped this league up. Certainly not Vik levels IMO. And he’s not English so no premium there.

I think we need to do some wheeling and dealing, cash some in and hope we can build a better team
Start with
Haji and Sheaf to earn some decent money, (£22m ? and then move on to the deadwood for some wages and pocket money

Any other team in this league with £25m to spend with a core squad would be creaming themselves over £25m

a few losses and all our players are apparently worthless

from your list

Wright: £12-15m
Simms: £6-8m
EMC: £6m
MVE: £8m
Sheaf: £8m (for now!)
Eccles: £4m
Torp: £1m
Sakamoto: £3m
BTA: £1m
Dovin: £2.5m
Kitching: £1m
Thomas: £2.5m
rudoni: £3-5m
Lati: £750k

so taking the lowest amounts we are still over £50m on just these players - not that it means anything

For me MVE is no less than €12 million, never known a player to literally play every fucking game, rarely get subbed off and not pick up injuries. Geeza is a specimen. And last season he was flying, the lad is pure quality and anything below €12 million is a joke.

If we are to sell we do so in summer.

We should be looking at minimum€30m euros for MVE, Wright and Sheaf. MVE: €12m, Wright: €14m, Sheaf: €8m

€34m euros with 10% sell on for all 3
And all of a sudden things don't seem as bad.
We can then buy a centre half, Right back, Center midfielder and number 10 cost us €18m The rest we loan in, and go again in the next window if need be.

You risk loosing your best players then you ain't risking shit because you're coming away with a fat bag of money for your troubles.

Hamer was sold for a good €3m less.
Gyok was sold for a solid fee tho.

MvE may play every game, but his performances are suffering and you have to see that it is slowly wearing him out and leading to an inevitable injury.

And MvE is the type of player that relies heavily on his pace, especially to recover defensively. Should he tear a hammy and lose some of that pace a lot of what makes him decent is gone. If he lost that pace I think you'd see a drop of in performance similar to that of Dabo's.

Simms is easily worth as much as we paid (5). He scored just short of 20 goals as a championship player last season and he's only 24.

12-15 for Wright
8-10 for MVE
1-2 each for Torp, Binks, Kitching & Thomas
5 for EMC (if he can continue his form and ends up on 16-20 G/A)
3-4 for Rudoni
2 for Dovin
2-3 Bassett

That's 41, while we are sh*te. If we bring in an experienced CB & ball playing CM, it could end up looking better.
