Morning folks,

Just thought I'd say hello and ask what you think of the big man so far?

Seemed to be his usual kamikaze self, scoring and conceding a penalty, gutted he left to be honest as you cannot fault his enthusiasm or commitment to the cause.

All the best.

He's one hell of a unit..... we were at the game- thought he did OK for most of it, not too sure the Pen wasn't a touch harsh, looked like 6 of one half a dozen of the other to me?
I think he's a good acquisition.. I look forward to see him play at the Ricoh..!!

He seems to be a player who will be a fans favourite despite not being the best player (don't get me wrong I think he will still be a good player). He is cerainly a big old unit and will be a good defender but he is awfully slow. He was caught out a fair few times in various places on the pitch and if we are sticking with 3 at the back then I don't think we will get away with it too many times (2 at the back ..... 1 of them webster!)

Did really well for the goals but an indifferent performance as a defender in my view. A more mobile CB might have cut out the cross that led to the 1st Bradford goal. The penalty was perhaps harsh but to get involved in that sort of tussle is a risk. The most worrying aspect, given his role as captain and CB was the inability to keep the defence well marshalled - I blame Pressley as well btw - but it was a shambles for much of the match. On the evidence of one game, he's no John Terry, but has achieved instant cult status with many of the Sky Blue Army. 6/10.

I think Allsop is at fault for that as well. Did not communicate with the defence at all which led to a few mistakes.

Agreed, the defence played like a bunch of strangers and Allsop should have been far more assertive.

I have only seen the goal highlights. Defending on the left for first and third goals very very disappointing. Especially the third, after just scoring we had two players who could have closed the player down. Instead one lunged in and both are out of the game for a free cross. Both good headers to be fair. But dealing with the supply is often easier than dealing with the end product.

Mind your Rangers also switched off against Hearts so we aren't the only team guilty of this.

The penalty was a penalty. A lot of the time players, wrongly get away with it, but it was messy from Reda. Took his goals well.

Not going to hit the crisis button yet. We should have got a point from this game.

Yh unfortunately reda was on the left of the 3 defenders which left it open when he went forward. I wouldn't blame him though I think there is just a lack of communication at the minute. I think we definitely deserved a draw from the game.

Communication will come in time, should never ever headed the ball out for the corner which led to the penalty, allsop was blantantly waving and shouting leave it let it go out.

All their attacks came down our right, first time attacked our left they scored as pugh dived in too early and we was exposed.

Only the first game, need a more experienced CB rather than willis got bullied all game and ripped on that side with clarke, and more physical presence like Zoko up front or to come on.

How many minutes of football has that defence played together? I make it two 45 minutes in pre-season at Newport and Watford before the game on Saturday. Webster and Johnson have both carried injuries in pre-season.

I think it was Jordan Clarke who conceded the corner leading to the penalty

I spoke to a Wednesday ST holder this morning, they are all gutted they lost him. He is seen as a bit of a legend up there, cannot defend for shit but scores goals and puts himself about a bit. I think we will have a lot to talk about with Reda on the pitch!!
