He was bleeding but safety is key
It’s added time
It’s 11 v 10 at the corner
It’s just such a silly decision to press
Far better for binks to go down and get treated
It was a clear push on him with the ref looking straight at it
I imagine he has some great games letting the game run but he’d try it and then decide to give a free kick for something he’d previously let go
Allen yellow
Eccles yellow
Both shocking decisions
On that show Kitching lucky not to be sent off after 5 mins

It wasn't a sending off for kitching.

The ref was dog shit. Again.

If safety is key, you give fouls.

Yep no foul on keeper and clear foul on binks
Why he made him go off rather than getting treated on the pitch is beyond me
What was the issue with letting him be treated

He had to go off because he was bleeding. Regardless, even if he was treated on the pitch he'd have had to go off anyway. We didn't deal with that situation well at all.

I really don’t know what these ref’s have got against us , as the Norwich one was awful & now tonight’s ref ……it might be that we are too soft & don’t moan enough , but they are getting worse , as to not see the gamesmanship from these teams

This. Has to go off if bleeding/cut. Head injury assessment aswell into the mix.

The real issue is the failure to give a free kick for the foul then, not Binks being told to leave the field of play?

Alternatively perhaps should have subbed someone on for him.

Ref dreadful last night, ref dreadful in the Tamworth/Spurs game today, ref dreadful in the Arsenal/Man Utd game. Refs just seem to be getting worse and worse. Surely they can't all be dreadful and while it'll never happen, maybe it's time to look at simplifying the rules to make it easier to ref.

He was wrong to make Binks get up and go off before the trainers could make a concussion review.

One of those, is it really a foul? Probably not. Are they given every game, including today? Yes

For that reason, the referee should have given the foul.

They need to simplify matters, the laws are so convoluted now it's no surprise that we are seeing what we see now.

Players cheating or mangers encouraging it has nothing to do with refs

You only have to see the posters on here who ref or know refs to see they think it's everybody else's fault.

I didn’t see that but for those who are still thinking he was wrong to ask Binks to leave the field of play-

In relation to the management of injuries, the Referee should also:

- Ensure that any bleeding player, or a player with blood on their playing equipment, should leave the field of play. The player should only return after a signal from the Referee and when they have stopped bleeding and have no blood on their equipment.

It’s just the advantage that it gave them from the corner
Explained better and Lampard has the option of a change

Course you didn't see it, you're a ref.

The issue was, it was a clear foul. He didn't give it and made our player go off while we defended when it should have been a free kick to us.

Quote the rules all you want

Ref got worse as the game went on. Almost as if he wanted extra time. Do they get paid more?
That said, we should have managed the game better. Spurs, Norwich and Sheff Wed, we have managed to throw away two and nearly three.

Again for me, it’s the inconsistency. Last night and Tamworth today as an example.
there doesn’t appear to be any differences between certain incidents yet one is a free kick and one isn’t?

I just don’t know what’s a foul now and what isn’t. Last night it just felt like every time a SW player went down for certain things it was a foul but if it was us it wasn’t.

Tamworth today - their player gets barged off ball outside box - no foul. Spurs go up other end - Son receives similar and it’s a free kick from which they scored.

Jeez! Tar us all with the same brush!
I quoted the laws of the game on the basis that he was right to send Binks off the field as he had a cut/head injury and that IS correct.
Were we disadvantaged on that basis-YES!
Was that the referees doing-NO, as he correctly applied the laws of the game.
Was the cut on Binks a result of a foul before that?, you are saying yes but I can’t comment as didn’t see it.
Just for clarification, if the foul was awarded in Binks favour, he still would have had to leave the pitch.

Yes if the ref did his job properly it would have been a free kick to us, binks could have left the field and we wouldn't be under pressure. It would be completely different him going off with us having effectively a goal kick as opposed to a corner.

The ref was dog shit all game.
