Firstly I was pleased to see a decent display from the team on Saturday. The team worked and played some good football. We played higher up the pitch and for 2/3rds of the match were the better team. Credit has to go to the players and AT for that. We lost but I went home with some pride and a little hope things might/could get better

Thought AT had one of his better days on Saturday. Still worry his inexperience of management will contribute greatly to the club going down.

I was puzzled on Saturday after all the shennanigans last week that there were very few protests against SISU. Rightly in the match our fans supported the team but there was precious little against SISU. Perhaps they have actually ground us into apathy ?

I think we have lost the art of winning. Losing has become a habit. Looking at the team I wouldnt say we had the personnel to win ugly, there are too many players that dont defend well and leave it all to the back four. We also sit back on a one nil lead, dropping deeper and deeper, we simply cannot invite pressure like that. Is there an arguement for making changes earlier? if we get one nil up take the likes of McSheffery off at half time and beef up the defence or defensive midfield ? Do we take off a striker to put on an extra midfielder? Would we scarifice too much up front in doing so.... something (including our luck) has to change.

I like that AT is sticking to a passing game, i prefer that sort of football, but that doesnt stop players being strong (all players). However as good as it looks we need points not pretty football. If we are to go down I want us to go competitive and fighting, right now 2 wins wont get us out of the bottom 3 ..... that borders on the embarrassing let alone worrying

Think I have said most i wanted to say about CCFC, Ricoh Arena & ACL etc. In a perfect world they and the others involved would work in harmony building successful businesses and growing with each other. But this is not a perfect world. Many fans seem to want to put blame on ACL, Council or Charity claiming the club is owed something. My own take is much the same as my views on respect.... you have to earn the right to have it.... Since 1996 this club has been a failing business, year after year making losses, building debt, ostracising fans with no clear thought or plan to the future. That mismanagement has come home to roost. Beggars belief some of the loudest bickering voices are coming from individuals that helped create this mess. Ask yourself why would anyone discount, give away or otherwise put at risk a valuable iconic asset by letting a financially bankrupt enterprise take it over ? CCFC havent made the Ricoh a success others have. CCFC's track record indicates they would mess it up. I think a lot of people have been shocked by how much ACL are not dependent on CCFC. Wake up call, I dont think the Council Charity or ACL owe CCFC anything. At no point have CCFC ever had the real ability to create build and operate the stadium, gnashing of teeth now because others want to keep it in safe hands for our city is not logical. Yet ACL the Council, Higgs Charity have all made it clear they want CCFC there at the Ricoh. It is CCFC that has to work with them not the other way round (if you see the difference)

Otium and the hedge funds. I am not inexperienced financially but I have to say I am not at all sure what is really going on. If I knew i would share my opinion but SISU and co do not make clear their agenda in anything they do.

Rumours- got to be honest i am reading the rumours with a great amount of boredom. Heard it all before, it didnt happen, ....... the only things i believe at CCFC are those things that actually happen (even some of those i question!). Thing that disappoints is that the rumours are stated as fact...... they gather pace waste time and ultimately get shown to be rubbish.... in the meantime they do damage morale. I know such chatter are the lifeblood of forums but I just wish that some would think before they post (will we have administration again tomorrow at 10am ?). Admin tomorrow, Hoff buying next week, Smith coming on loan ...... it goes on and on and on

Tomorrow night will be tough ..... it always is against Cardiff. Not betting against Gunnar or Turner scoring either. Still dont see us picking up any points in November - we are sinking fast and getting cut adrift

heres some FACTS....

1) We are six points adrift of safety, and its NOVEMBER !
2) We have the worst away record in the Football League
3) We have scored the fewest away goals in the football league
4) We lost 3 of our best players in the summer
5) We sold Turner for peanuts
6) Craine and Clingan wont sign a contract
7) We have won when being a goal down for 3 years or so
8) We have finished in the top 6 of any league for 50 odd years
9) RR said he was going to "leave the club in a better place than he found it"
10) Brody said "we are signing a franchaise player"
11) Tango man said all sorts that havent come true

I could go on, but frankly, I just cant be bothered anymore...

We need rid of these clowns, or our club will be gone forever...

Well said OSB. The only problem is the sun was shining here when I started reading it but by the time I had finished it is now nearly dark.

Great post, I think the sisu out protests were minimal because of the mass effort the players put in.
Brinners banner and a few shirts reading sisu out, were unleashed after the 2nd goal scored by the hammers.

Those rather articulate and well rounded thoughts of Old Sky Blue sum it up really. In short we are on a small sinking boat on a fast flowing river heading towards the waterfall and some plonker has dropped the paddle.

- the ownership of the Ricoh
- what Otium and hedge funds are for
- dismissed several rumours
- the match against Cardiff

now you can go Christmas shopping - you have time :D

Do you know what I hate? Last season when we were flying we played dirty and we played hard. I think if Hoofroyd had been given more funds we would've had a top half finish. Why are we such pushovers this season?

I dont think we are as fit Rich. Last year under AB the team was the fittest i had seen in seasons but that hasnt followed through this season. Thats a big factor plus young lads might be quick and strong but they dont necessarily have the stamina yet so thats not helped us stand up to things

Of course we can, it's whether we will. We could have beaten Palace, Blackpool, Reading and West Ham but instead of 12 points we got 2. We could have drawn against Leicester, Birmingham and Burnley but instead of 3 points we got jack. So a not altogether unrealistic 15 points becomes 2, that's why we're where we are and until something changes and we get a slice of luck that's how it will stay.
