I've watched CCFC play in 9 different divisions, witnessed 5 promotions and 4 relegations. Mark Robins moving on is just football, and does not detract from the huge contribution he's made. Jimmy Hill moved on in 1967 and we still value his contribution.
I suspect that Doug had made his mind up and was waiting for the right moment to apply the axe. What, I wonder would he have done had Jack not misplaced that back pass or that cross had not diverted off Bobby's foot? But that's all for the birds. Whoever the next manager is, we need to get behind him. Life goes on.
interested to hear how the club with honour robins, im sure the elephant* in the room was "statue" but i wonder if something else might be in the works.
looking back a few videos etc, robins receiving all the applause, manager of the month etc etc, i bet adi was there behind the scenes thinking (and maybe even saying who knows) that he was equally as valuable as MR and didnt get the same praise. Makes you wonder from the outcome from the forum yesterday.
(* i know someone is going to say his name is skybluessam)

no i know i agree with you, fans were always behind him, but the world outside of cov wouldnt have seen this impact i imagine, and would have suggested it was all down to robins.
