v Stoke (H) - Playing very well, a lot of possession, getting results against good team, travel quite well. We did beat them in the return leg. A draw a good result.

v Swansea (A) - Not particularly strong at home, we threw away a 3-0 lead in December. If they beat Cardiff they could be up for it. We are good enough to win this one, a draw a good result.

v Watford (H) - Don't travel particularly well, have been getting results but mainly at home. We beat them in the return leg. A good chance for 3 points.

v QPR (A) - The sooner we play them the better.

v Blackburn (A) - Who knows where they'll be, or how they'll be playing, in mid April. We beat them in the return leg. They're very good at home. Expecting a loss.

v Reading (H) - Have struggled all season, worst side in the league away from home. Hopefully will pick up a couple of wins before playing us, desperate teams can be a different preposition. Lost in the return leg in December. Expecting a win.

v Birmingham (H) - Another team that has struggled, but hopefully will be safe by the time they play us. Drew in the return leg, but they were playing better back then. They are decent away from home. Expecting a win.

v Middlesbrough (A) - Hopefully will not be looking for a result for an automatic spot, or alternatively result not necessarily needed on our end.

I reckon we’ll beat Stoke and Reading,

Lose to Swansea (always struggle against these), Watford and Middlesbrough,

draw to QPR (again we never seem to do well there) Blackburn and Birmingham (we draw against Birmingham most of the time. Pretty sure we’ve drew 7/8 games)

When you look at those games it’s not too arduous

With the break, for me it's effectively like the streak is over and we have to start again. For that reason, for me, Stoke is huge.

Like the OP said, tricky prospect. Decent form, solid away record. Win that, esp. if we play well, and there's momentum again.

If we beat them in front of a big crowd I genuinely then look at the rest of the fixtures and think we're good enough to win them all.

Wilson, Fadz, Hamer and Vik all have to be fit for all those games, though, and that's the thing that might trip us up. A lot to ask of them.

Edit - meant to say that if we lose against Stoke, however we play, I can see us stuttering to only a couple more wins and a draw or two.

Enough games are 'winnable' there but i do think we finish slightly short of the points needed for 6th. I reckon we will take about 12 or 13 from those games but at least 3 at home and 2 away look like games we should win (Stoke, Reading, Birmingham, QPR and Swansea)

How many points do we need? 75? 6 wins then. It's so hard to tell. There are some teams that shouldn't have a lot to play for, but a couple of fixtures that you can regard as playoff sixpointer's as well.

We can probably only afford two losses, but then preferably they shouldn't be against Watford or Blackburn.

Fuck me. Could get intense.

If the pattern that’s carried on since MR has come back persists….playoffs incoming

I think beat Blackburn, 5 wins required, lose to Blackburn, 6 wins required.

That Millwall Blackburn game on the last day of the season could be huge.

If my quick Googling is right we only need 7 more points to beat our best ever points tally since relegation to the Championship, and another +4 on the goal difference for our best ever in the Championship. And of course one more place for our best ever finish. Got to think we will hit at least the first of those.

We can win all those games, we won’t but I’d like to think 6 out the 9.
Blackburn game is huge and think we will beat them

Memories of 1967 we went to nearest challengers Blackburn Easter Saturday and ground out a 1-0 win which more or less put them out of the running, more of the same please.

Il be shocked if we don't get more than 7 points from the last 8 games

I tried to be realistic on that predictor.... drawing one of the "winnable" home games. Losing at Blackburn. Drawing at Boro last day of season. Winning most of the others... finishing on 72pts in 6th which was surprising, as i believe we'd fall short with 72pts.

Have to hope that these 2 weeks off help Fadz return back to his early season form. He’s been woeful since his return. Jamie Allen back in will be a massive help too.

I think we will do it and I'll go as far as saying I don't think we will lose another game this season if we beat Stoke when we come back

Agree regarding the Stoke game and it being like us starting again in terms of momentum. Conversely, the same is true for Stoke too though, so their recent good form can go out of the window as well. Big big game, and I think it's only the pressure that could see us stumble, personally.

We just need to stay in contention by the last 3 games... by then, hopefully Reading and Blues will be on the beach and by the time we get to the Middlesbrough game, we need to hope their fate is sealed and will be resting players for the playoffs. If we have it all to play for and are fighting tooth an nail going into the last 3, I'd fancy us...injuries dependent.

Get Allen back, rotate the squad enough to keep our intensity levels at the point when we really hurt teams, and let's fucking have it!

Here’s an interesting scenario.
I saw on another site a prediction where they had the final table with us sixth and Middlesbrough third as we know we play ‘Boro last match now what if before that final game we are guaranteed that sixth spot but can’t go higher and Middlesbrough guaranteed third and can’t go higher or lower which would mean a two leg play-off between us both, should we play a total reserve team in that match.

Or if we are secured sixth spot but ‘Boro could get autos with a victory do we lie down and let them win a case of who we prefer them or the Blades in the play-offs.
