it’s an interesting ethics thing and James Tarpey does a brilliant job in the role of the kid
It does. For me these kids did the right thing which isn't how it should be but they faced a terrible dilemma. It's well worth watching but for anyone who's suffered any hint of a difficult childhood thanks to adults this will make your blood boil. Not seen it but heard an interview with the writer. Sounds like it's one of those dramas that asks some really difficult questions.
Good though wasn’t it?Watched it tonight. I do struggle with the concept of trying children as adults even despite the heinous crimes.
I suppose that if a child is found guilty of murder that guilt is really collectively ours whereas a capable adult is found guilty the guilt is theirs. It's difficult though cos then again you have people like the Thompson and Venables for whom you feel no sympathy.
7k kids on trial in Crown Court since 1995, that's a significant number. Wonder what the reoffending rate is..
Yeah it was a decent watchGood though wasn’t it?
