Had a naff season this year but was quite keen to have him play for us when we were linked with him. Given our current lack of goalscorers and our track record with reviving careers for forwards I'm a tad disappointed we didn't get him.
Edit: just looked at his Wikipedia and he's apparently got 7 goals in 8, so much for thinking he'd had a bad season haha

Pre season in one of those hypothetical "who would you sign" threads I named 2 players I'd of broke the bank to of signed. I still stand by them both.
Those 2 names were Ruben Reid and Danny Hylton.
I knew more about Reid than I did Hylton. Knew he was the 20 goal striker we were looking for. And I remember watching the Luton v Oxford checkatrade semi and thinking Hylton looked a class above.
I know we missed out on Collins and Moorehouse etc but those to for me would of been my main priority.
Would be nice to see if Reid can help FGR stay up?! If not and we miss out on promotion then he should be next season's main target?

Yes, but someone has said they saw him win a flick on once, so he full on deserves to be first name on the team sheet, as that’s what’s important, and goals aren’t the be all and end all in football..... apparently.

Scored on his debut to beat Port Vale 1-0. FGR's first win following 5 consecutive defeats. Can see them pulling away from the bottom 2 now if they are able to hang onto Doidge.
