Not saying that the funding of Hamer is true, but isn't that similar to how we managed to buy Keane? I know it was pre-WHU when third party ownership was banned but I don't recall anyone ever saying that Keane was owned by a third party - the money was loaned to the club to do so. Then the person funding it got told we could sell for £13m and ordered the club to sell him so he could get a profit? I'm sure if we'd heard such-and-such has paid for Keane we'd have been saying what an excellent and top bloke they were at the time.
Overson doesn't seem like the kind of person who would do that but I still think it's best to be naturally cautious of arrangments of this nature.
Fair play to him for the donation too. Would be lovely to have the money to be able to make such gestures.
I'd bring myself off just to get the fans goingId bring myself on just to take a red card to get the fans going.

No m8, just myself, thanks for the offer though.Pull off the ballboys at half time?
I'd have the work rate of Andy Morrell for about 2 minutes until I am knackered and the adrenalin wore off.
That's incredibleJust seen the Dunchurch CCFC Supporters club have donated £5,600 in the last hour. Wow. Is that linked to any specific individual?
No idea but fair play to them. Great effort that.Just seen the Dunchurch CCFC Supporters club have donated £5,600 in the last hour. Wow. Is that linked to any specific individual?

incredible effort - hats of to all those involved.
They did but that’s more donated this year, amazing from you all again especially in these uncertain times to watch gamesThey did a lot last year as well didn’t they?

I can think of one person who might be involved with the Dunchurch lot - they're usually not popular around these parts
I mean, that's a looonnnnng list. Any clues?
I don't think so, I think it makes far more sense for him not having the liability tbhCan see Overson having a part ownership of the club one day when SISU eventually decide enough is enough and sell up (which I do believe they will)
Nah, because it might be nothing to do with them, after all!I mean, that's a looonnnnng list. Any clues?

Someone who lives around there is often mentioned in dispatched, though.

If MMM also used to be the landlord at the Avon Mill in Rugby (coaches used to go from the Avon Mill years ago) then I might be the bearer of bad news. I was told a little while ago from another Rugby based CCFC fan that he’d heard (all third hand I know so I can’t verify if it’s true or not) that the landlord who used to arrange the coaches from the Avon Mill had passed away. Apologies in advance if it turns out to be untrue.Mary Mungo Midge laid on coaches to matches from Rugby at one point? He's been persona non grata on here for a while now.
Then again Hackney also lived in Rugby

Got ya. IIRC the Avon Mill landlord was known as Mac now you say that they’re not the same person. Didn’t really know the AM landlord past ordering a pint of Guinness and handing him some money to use the coach on a handful of occasions.Nah it isn't him!
I can't believe you just PM'ed me and told me G is stinking rich, lives around there and put in £5k into this fund.
Wow ;-)
