Sadly Mark passed away on Sunday. He was a lovely, genuine guy and a true sky blue. Any tributes or comments left in here will be passed on to his family.
Very sorry to hear this. Had wondered where he was lately, and he always seemed a decent chap who cared about the club and the city, and did his best to be fair.
So saddened to hear this. He may have been a stranger to me, but a stranger I came to rely upon for his incredible knowledge and his honest information about our club, so it feels like losing a friend.
A real loss to the community on here - his ability to share expertise without ever being drawn into the usual sniping/name-calling was a real asset and will be missed.
Just to echo others, real shame and his posts were always very factual and helped explain things in layman’s terms. If a little long from time to time.
Happy to throw a few shekels in if there is some form of collection/donation for him or a charity of his families choice?
Sad news. Would be good to get something shared with the family. Thank you CJ. Few of us knew him, but were always grateful and appreciative for the time he spent unpacking accounts for the illiterate masses. Realise time with us was not with his family, so grateful for that, and he genuinely will be missed. He came across a genuine guy, generous and intelligent with his time, and whilst football is not life he added colour to those of us who have a shared passion for the Sky Blues. Please accept our prayers, thoughts and condolences for your loss.
Very sad news. Always good to hear his insights on the finances and just a nice poster all round - those contributions will be missed. Thoughts are with his family and friends.
Sad news indeed. A decent and articulate guy, who always presented the financial side of our calamitous club with a clarity that most could understand better.
Presuming ‘58 was his year of birth, not so old either. RIP Sir
It’s always sad when one of us passes and although I didn’t know him personally I appreciated his input and I know that many others did as well. Travel well OSB58 and you will be missed on here.
