Riyad Mahrez / Kyel Reid swap deal? (1 Viewer)

Blue Sky thinking. Both clubs cancel their contracts and a straight swap. Everybody happy. Pay in the same position, similar ability, wages, egos, etc. (won't even have to move house) What do we think?

Can't if it is outside the window even if they wanted to.
Not if the contracts are cancelled, they both become free agents and can be signed to play - I believe.

Only if we want him to play this season, as it's outside the Window they have to wait then. ;)

Mahrez would get the absolute shite hacked out of him in L2, let's be honest.

"Mahrez gets his first touch in a Sky Blue shirt, Geoff, nice turn and whoooaaaaaaaaa Leslie!!!"

"That's not cricket, Clive. His legs have landed up there somewhere..."

If a contract is cancelled outside of the transfer window the player can’t sign for another PL/EFL club until the next one. That’s the only stumbling block now with this deal.

I thought you can play if you're a free agent when you sign?

Wrong. Couldn't play until next season unless they went non league.

But would still piss all over the shite in this league.

I might be mistaken but I think the pay isn't in the same position. My reading for Kyel is that he is in the"far too expensive for us" position, but for Riyad, for some reason, the reading goes off the top of my scale. Why would that be?

Wouldn’t want Mahrez he has no loyalty as soon as he gets a sniff of a move transfer request goes in

Is it? I was under the impression that was only for loans, not free agents? Maybe I’m wrong.

Another Kyel Reid thread.

You're mistaken. This is clearly a Riyad Mahrez thread. He's been saying he was desperate to sign for us.

Direct quote... "I'm depressed as fuck at not being able to sign for City. You know, the Sky Blues, not these darker blue inbred City twats". Riyad Mahrez, 2018.

We are the club that can sell our allocation at Wembley. And then some.

Don't see how, myself. It's all in the realms of hypothesis, but I hypothesise that a tart like Mahrez would be trying to get himself substituted after 10 minutes. That's if he was still conscious after 5 minutes.

If he could pop an assist in before he gets dismembered by Gary Deegan, even better.

To be fair they would have to give us Mahrez and Fester ground as well to get anywhere near our valuation of Reid and that aint much
