We need to remember that we only got Wisey 'cos he'd been sat on the bench all season at a struggling Southampton side in our division. I'll never forget watching him warming up as we hammered them (4-1?) and thinking how the mighty had fallen. I'm sure part of his stunning form for us was him proving one last point to a few others in football.

Wheras Pires has been chauffeur-driven to training every day-I couldn't think of a less determined character. The closest we get to that level of luxury is Keogh getting taxis everywhere, but that's just him saving his precious stamina so he can play every minute of every match like the hero he is!

I understand the shout tbh but Pires is not a 'leader' and that's what we want if we are to have an influential guy with bags of experience helping us hold it together for a promotion bid. He can't move within 2 yards of the center circle, and even if he does it will take the full 90 minutes to get out of it.
