Played well first half, could have been 2 up.
Got to start taking our chances.
Losing Willis had a big impact on the match - Evans and Madden are very good strikers
Young team and tonight will be a learning curve for them.
Fleetwood are a big side and they got away with a lot of cynical tackles.
Bad result before a long break but positive is we've got time to work on getting things right.
No blame on Chaplin for the penalty miss - happens to the very best.
Andreu has been very good in training so deserved his chance.
We're just gonna roll our sleeves up and keep working hard to improve.

* all complete guesses

Well that’s made me feel a lot better.

First half ok, second not. Blah, blah, excuses about experience, we didn't defend properly. Fleetwood have top strikers (Madden and Evans).
Taking wrong option even in first half.

Teams that are spending big money and have strikers that are ready for now. Including Fleetwood with Evans and Madden.

Agree - no substance.
Just said 'with this lot you could throw plates and them and they would go over their heads' not sure what that means (think I do but hope I dont). Also 'they look tired' - really!! Go on about a bunch of kids so how comes they're tired already?
Jody - no concrete news - gone home to his family - got an appointment with a specialist - wait and see.

So, 'streetwise' has again reared it's ugly head and he's complaining other teams have experienced strikers when he blew the best part of a mil on three WIP's at best, duds at worst.

No point Robins harping on about experience. Wasn't long ago he was boasting about how he reduced the average of the squad in the summer from 23 to 21...almost like this was deliberate.

Tired? We had an extra days rest compared to fleetwood. We have a huge squad, use it! Baka in for JCH. Kelly or agogo in for a 37 year old Doyle. it's not hard is it. They are both capable. Kelly dragged us through the last month of the season, these next 2 weeks off he HAS to get fit and make a claim

It seems most of his complaints are things he should be able to rectify given the size and age of the squad. If they're tired then you either need to change the line-up or alter the training plan. That's before we even start on in-game stuff like formations and subs.

What concerns me is the likes of JCH playing out of his skin once we are 3-0 down!!!! WTF.
Why isn't he playing like that constantly, MR has to now now drop him and when he asks why, play him that last 10 minutes and point out that he wasnt as motivated for the previous 80 mins and that to stay in this team you have to be 100% committed all the time. Drop him for at least 3 games.
Hiwula was non existant in the second half as wellso he needs looking at.
It is a shame Ponticelli never got that loan spell under his belt. Would have been nice to see if he can really do it or not.
Baka's time has come. I would also give Doyle a rest. Properly shake things up a bit and keep Davies in.

He seemed almost more intent on criticising the defence than the strikers for missing chances or the midfield for giving the ball away.

The latter two departments are by far our biggest issues and have been all season.

The defence in th second half were appauling yes, caught out by non league hoofs over the top. But if we take out two chances in the first 25 mins, that wouldn't have happened. You need to take your chances when on top, and if you're not on top you need to soak it up, see it out, luck it out and take one when you get it. Fleetwood did that. Soaked it up, suicide ball out from Willis short to grimmer, whole team caught upfield and theyre in, game over

At 0-0 how didn’t Chaplin finish from six yards. It’s getting embarrassing. We were told that he was a natural finisher.
It’s not working with him and JCH. When we go long they are always too far apart. When try to play through the middle they are trying to thread impossible balls through the defence. No one seems to want to take responsibility for taking a shot, except for Thomas who lacks composure. That said, if Thomas goes back in January we will have zero threat going forward.

It's not worth thinking about. Andreu on the right?

Should Cody come back?
You are a very strange un !!!!
Fuck off one minute, Cody the next????
I dont know whether to take issue with you or if you are simply just a bit nuts.
The only Cody I can think off who has had anything to do with us is Cody McDonald????
If there is a youth player out on loan then I havent heard of him, so i cant pass comment

We have spooged nearly £1 million on 3 strikers. 1 can't hit a barn door from 6 yards, another gets erections from offside flags and the other is played out wide. All to replace a guy who was scoring for fun in the league below and who could definitely put away sitters.

Recruitment did us 2 years ago and it's fucking us over again.

Not concerned - was confident of a top 10 finish and that's what we are seeing. Bit of luck and avoid injuries we could sneak 6th. Generally happy with our lot. I'm enjoying the football in the main...so looking forward to a good run over Xmas. It doesn't ruin my night like it used to.

Goals wernt coming from mcnulty at 1 point either. Things can change quickly

That is true but I don't recall him missing quite this many gilt-edged sitters. More concerning is the same style of play as last year where MR is slow to make changes and when he does they are either like for like or, as tonight, nonsensical. You really don't need to be a tactical mastermind in these shit leagues but he sure knows how to make heavy weather of it. Made Joey Barton look like Guardiola tonight.
