Interesting and slightly disconcerting. I've a feeling he may be getting slightly fed up with the constraints given his performance. Maybe I'm just being cynical.

Not reading that into that interview at all, it's just the same expectation management he's always done

Yeah, it sounds like standard Robins to me. We could sell someone, we might sell someone, we might sign some players, we might not sign enough players.

I think he is making some sly digs at the owners regarding investment, but he has done that before if I remember.

On the contrary I seem to remember he used to sing the praises of the club/owners regularly.

His tone and language has shifted quite a bit this season though it seems.

I think it's different circumstances though, he knew back then that living within the club's means was still competitive at the levels we were at. It is different now, part of it is to protect himself I think

I think that's probably part of it.

He's pretty matter of fact as well though and is hardly going to feel inclined to laud the club/owners for their support when in the most recent window he was only able to sign one player.

None. There will be no significant further investment, as the longer-term aim is to invest in a new training ground, i.e. laying new pitches. We will continue to invest in equipment, people and resources at the training ground.

Think he's aware that time is coming to a breaking point as the jackett callers will get there wish wanting change and believe that those callers will get us dropping back down the league's,then blaming robins,hey Grendel.as for robins Grendel and his cronies have got there wish.

I'm not going to read much into that but if we start next season without having invested into our squad in the same way other established Championship clubs with similar attendances have then I'll be pissed off.

We have fans have stood up to the plate. It's time for the owners to do the same.

Season tickets increasing ,price wise and numbers wise,think he's well in his rights to expect a bigger budget from the board.

I would guess that adding 1000 season tickets to the total would add around £330k net of VAT

a decrease in numbers of 1000 would be a loss of £330k

with the rise in living costs and other uncertainties i am not sure i see an increase in ST numbers being achieved

total season ticket sales this season are going to be in region of £3.9m

wage costs in the 2021 financials £13.2m - i wouldn't expect that cost to decrease, similarly overheads are going to increase too.

I dont see the playing budget being much different without a major player sale

COH and Hamer's new deals are probably unaffordable long term
But on balance it was the right thing to do to secure them on longer contracts to increase our bargaining position if/when offers come in
Some may blame our owners if they are sold but it's a fact of life for most clubs
Norwich sold their best player even though they won promotion to the PL and even clubs who will finish in the top 8 of the PL this year are struggling to keep their best players in the face of interest from the likes of Liverpool and the Manchester clubs
I wish things could be different as its completely unfair and a bit depressing

I'd like to think Joy and her investors will invest and have a go for promotion in the next couple of years knowing what the prize is for bring there, they are not going to come out and say it but I live in hope!😪

The key isn’t if we choose to sell a player or not it’s what we do with that money.

out of the big 3 - I think Gyorores would be the hardest and most expensive to replace
I also think there is a lot more to come from O hare
and also that Hamer would attract a bigger fee than O hare today

if we could get £5m for Hamer and reinvest £2m added on to the savings we have made on releasing players during the season, I think we should be able to show further progress

We'll invest £2m of a £5m sale while our competitors happily spend £5m on a player without a sale and we'll wonder why we're back in L1 in a couple of years.
