There was talk a couple of weeks ago that we were on the verge of signing Robins' Long term target. Was that Clarke-Salter?

Yes, believe he said in one of the interviews he had been chasing him all summer and was agreed months ago. Thanked Chelsea for not letting 'bigger' teams gazump us.

Yeah JCS was our long term target but MR says he wants to get one more through the door at least before the window closes. Reckon we need cover at the back first and foremost, an all purpose defender that’s mainly a LWB. Todd Kane was rumoured, not sure how I like that tbh. If we can loan in a midfielder as well that would be superb.

We don’t know yet. Robins hasn’t confirmed that, in fact I’m not sure he’s been asked the question.

“I’m really pleased to get him in the building we’ve had to be patient but now he’s finally here.” Robins said.

“He’s a player that we have been tracking all summer, so we thank Chelsea and his agents, because they have stood firm and turned offers down from other clubs because they think here is a good place for him."

Sounds like it was JCS from that.

Seems to be saying we're getting one more in, post match yesterday (guessing it's likely to be a loan) I'd like another versatile defender (if Dabo gets injured I'd sooner play Hamer in that area than Da Costa, unless the latter improves radically) who could play right or left wing/full back - like they're ten a penny !!
