No shit.I was alluding to it
Listening to MR's interview it sounds like Biamou & Kelly are likely to miss out on Monday as will Rose. I would be very surprised if Allen or Shipley feature in the starting line up for the remainder of the season too. He did seem fairly forgiving of Da Costa so it might be he gets one more chance on Monday. Was interesting how he focused on the different attitudes of players playing home & away. Eakin touched on questioning that point without taking it further, given the lack of crowds as to why that should be the case.
Anyhow from all that I fully expect and want to see us start the game on Monday much more aggressively. We need to play 2 up front to close their space from as far up the pitch as possible, but which will also then allow us a better chance of retaining possession when we get forward ourselves, and provide us more players in the box when we do get forward. Defensively if the opposition are in control of possession & start playing keep ball we need to be more disruptive by committing harder challenges & committing more fouls if necessary - yellow cards don't really matter now, and it seems most refs in this league let a lot go anyway so we need to be more savvy about that.
My preferred team in 4-4-2 formation given likely availability would be:
Marosi
Pask, Ostigaard, McFadzean, McCallum
Hamer, Eccles, James, O'Hare
Godden, Walker
However, I suspect MR will start the Bristol game with 5-3-2 though, with Da Costa and Hyam playing instead of Pask and Eccles. If he does go with that then the mindset of the team still has to be to play aggressively from the off. We will quickly know how well we will be doing by whether our wing backs are on the front foot or the back foot. If they are on the back foot then I don't want to see MR being slow in making changes. This game feels mightily important and how we approach it is likely to set the tone for the remainder of the season.
Exactly it’s clear how I felt about him early at this level and it should of been done in jan before more funds were wasted, just my opinion of courseNo shit.
How Pask doesn’t come in worries me it also tells me he’s not going into a flat 4 so it will be a 5,the best we can hope for is 532 & dacosta can get up and deliver ballsIf he goes with Da Costa at wing back then I think we will be in trouble. He hasn't a clue how to defend and that puts pressure on the rest of the defense who struggle with silly mistakes in the first place.

If DaCosta plays its wingbacks and probably 1 up fronti was amazed he kept him on the pitch.
Robins surely must realise we don’t have the personnel for wing backs - decosta is a disaster zone and mccallum more defensive capable than attacking. Giles was really the best attacking wide player. He needs a flat back 4 with the options he has replace decosta and Hyam
Robins should of gone in January I was alluding to it but getting shot down and maybe rightly so but I seen where he was taking us
The 5-4-1 hasn't worked all season and MR is still trying it. Didn't say anything about the other formations we've played. We've played more formations this season than the last three put together what are you on about?
If we didn't deserve to go up, and Robins didn't take us up after all... doesn't it make it even more of an achievement that we have *any* chance of staying up...?
Barnsley described his football there as like being on death row, negative defensive etc all of which we seenone of its relevant - managers achieve or they don’t. Promotion is achieving and relegation is failing
If people just say we are the 3 rd least funded team then shrug their shoulders if that’s where we finish why waste money on a management team at all? Just find a par performing manager cheap and stick him in
A lot of fans are very protective of Robins but like a lot of league 1 players he’s not adapting well.
His record outside of us is typical of most managers. Very good record at the start and then crash and burn - Barnsley he got them winning quickly then they faded - same with Scunthorpe- he’s not adaptive to changing circumstances- whatever happens the hierarchy really need to look at next season with attendances and in Coventry and what is needed to deliver competitive and watchable games.

Just read what MR said about the game. All seemed a bit muddled to me in parts. Pretty much like the team on the day.
We didn't play 2 up front" because we would get passed off the park" sorry but first half we were passed off the park.
Walker and Gyokeres "made a difference " well yes and as he said the game already lost..... but as a front 2
"Front three" where? Shipley and Hamer couldn't get out of midfield and Godden not fit enough
Need "leaders" well players have that in them or they don't it isnt suddenly going to appear. Little evidence of leadership in any of the players I saw yesterday. There are not many leaders in the squad. Surely part of leadership comes from the manager and I think MR is feeling the pressure/frustration of the bad results and performances
Need to be tougher mentally, again yes but if they are not now then it isnt going suddenly happen over next few weeks till end of season when greatest pressure is on
"Got to find a way" well yes just not convinced he knows what the "way" is just now so how does he communicate that to the players.
It was players this players that but the messages from the coaching staff are not getting through it seems. Has been like this for some time it wasn't just yesterday it seems. The team looks confused, obviously lacks confidence but he is right losing does seem to become a" comfort blanket " that allows them to start playing. It also allows MR to make substitutions and be more attacking, makes it look like there is hope and its down to the players
All muddled in his thinking it seems to me. In that respect I think the team reflects that.
Fingers crossed that changes and we manage to pick up at least 6 points in the games remaining. Still think we will stay up but it will be because the teams below us are just enough behind and with their own problems.

“find a par performing manager”
“His record ... is typical of most managers”
There is zero point in having a manager if a par to spend performance is a benchmark and especially if that’s delivering failure
What?
Are you trying to say if we’ve got an average manager there’s no point in having a manager? And then is average is failure then there’s especially no point?
What are you trying to say?
Heard this morning off a pal who’s heavily involved with the club most would know him if I said the name robins and O’Hare have had a fall out,the Chaplin ow was strange chased him for so long then just didn’t want to use him rightIm not bothered at styles of play if they result in wins. This season hasn’t
The other thing I’ve never understood is why the forwards he signs with only 2 exceptions have never worked out or he seems to fall out with them. Hiwula, Bakayoko, Clarke-Harris, Chaplin, Gyorkes - players who’ve come and gone or will be gone soon
It’s the same argument as thorn - “team isn’t good enough” “Alex Ferguson couldn’t do any better”
Managers are there to deliver expectations not deliver a performance that relates to what their perceived spending capacity is. Hiring new managers isn’t the hardest job for owners it’s when to sack them.
A lot seemed to scoff at Lee bowyer and his appointment at Birmingham - let’s see whose scoffing at the end of the season.
i was amazed he kept him on the pitch.

You realise that if the club stay up you won't get that wish?I’ll stand by my comment a few weeks ago
“even if we stay up I want robins changed”
I agree we don’t have football owners/chairman but if I was SISU no chance he’s getting more budget after yet more waste of time signings Chris “coup” badlan would be following robins out tooYou realise that if the club stay up you won't get that wish?
So there's little point banging the drum .

Thorn wasn’t the most successful manager in my lifetime. Comparing him to Robins is ridiculous even for you.
And Robins is delivering on expectations, we aren’t in the relegation zone and everyone sensible on here was saying 21st would be a success come the end of the season.
We are poor right now. Robins has made some poor decisions, the players have made even more, no manager can account for your first choice keeper pushing the ball into his own net, or your previously star defender turning into the oppositions best striker on a regular basis. We’ve had injuries to key players, we’ve had players who have flagged and players who have failed to step up. And we’ve clearly had a low budget.
To say Robins needs to change and improve to meet this challenge is one thing. To try and make out he’s now one of our worst managers ever after winning more silverware in the last four years than anyone since Hill frankly makes you look ridiculous.
January tho he had budget Evo it was again wasted i mean 2 of the 4 signings were development ones the club made some weird deal about on their social media the Rochdale lad announced was like we just signed a top draw player ready to come inThere's no point in trying to rationalise ... injuries and budgets mean very little to some

It can't be the same as he's never been relegated in this league with Huddersfield or Barnsley , so his record at this "level" is obviously betterIn this league his record is the same as thorn so at this level and above he is the worst
In the 80’s and 90’s we changed managers to stay up - the one time we didn’t what happened?
Didn’t need to be mate just needed to be used wiselyWeren't exactly a war chest mate

On paper , matty james fitted the bill of a shrewd signing ...so basically it's gyokeresDidn’t need to be mate just needed to be used wisely
