Is it dwindling? How many were at Wembley?Announcing your every intention in public isn't a good negotiating tactic.
But keeping your dwindling fan base in the dark indefinitely isn't a smart move either.
Is it dwindling? How many were at Wembley?
Top of the table at Xmas, championship next season...you think we’d have lower attendances?our home gates are half of last season, and only likely to diminish further if we're at SA long term.
It's not sustainable.
You have missed out on a lot of detail in the middle.
How did we end up with SISU? How did we end up in so much debt? How much did we rent HR back for? Why didn't we buy the land that the Ricoh stands on with the proceeds from HR?
The answer to the above is a big part of getting us to the position we found ourselves in. Then SISU took over and thought they could take everyone on and win. They tried to batter everyone with constant court cases. And not a lot has changed since. And it seems like that is why we are now playing in Birmingham.
Yes there are others to blame. But most of the rest was caused by others not being willing to be steamrolled by SISU.

You can’t discount Wembley at all. Because the fan base is there. To say the fan base is dwindling is inaccurate full stop.
I’m not advocating SA long term by the way, as much as I preferred the match day experience. But people don’t even know what they are asking for anymore they just love bitching and moaning.
Not to keep opening the same can of worms, but while the rent was shocking, there were options. For example, would it have cost less to keep paying it while we built a stadium? That’s maybe £3m or so down the drain, but in the end will we have lost more (not to mention loss of good will) from the stadium moves?
Could we have better negotiated a deal? Was it smart to sour relations with the council first? Could the PR campaigns have been better used asking for a better deal rather than trying to get the Ricoh through legal means?
We sold HR. We failed to finance the Ricoh. We pawned our share in ACL. We broke our tenancy. We created the environment for Wasps. We filed with the EC to prevent talks.
There comes a time to take it on the chin and own up to your responsibility in a situation. Where Wasps play is up to their fans. Who they do business with is up to their owners. Third parties don’t owe us a living.
I quoted you saying “fan base”? Go check your post...And there's a difference between fan base and attendances, our attendances are down 50%.
Thanks for sharing...did I say anything about people saying it’s unsustainable in the long term? I thought this was about people being upset the owners aren’t giving regular updates on their position?I prefer the SA match experience but to say it isn't sustainable long term isn't bitching and moaning, it's fact.

Can’t keep up. Baffling.
It’s a long shot, but probably our best shot, but the best thing that could happen is we get promoted. Makes us more of a loss to Wasps and changes the financial situation. Plus it’ll boost the crowds while we are away.
On what planet did it start with Wasps? At every point we’ve voluntarily given up our stake in our own stadium, going back to Richardson.
It’s hardly unnecessary bitching and moaning though is it? It’s not like saying the pies are shit and the beer’s warm. It’s an existential threat to our club and some information about the future would be helpful in maintaining the current attendance and / or encouraging fans that haven’t made the trip over yet.Top of the table at Xmas, championship next season...you think we’d have lower attendances?

What we did have to do if building a new stadium was break the lease, which gripped us into the Ricoh for all eternity. Not to keep opening the same can of worms, but while the rent was shocking, there were options. For example, would it have cost less to keep paying it while we built a stadium? There is no plan
Gotta be and everyone knows thatThe plan is we will return one day so it is working I guess
people don’t even know what they are asking for anymore they just love bitching and moaning.
The problem is we know the answer to most of those questions and we know everything is at an impasse.Where we are at with discussions with wasps
Where we are at with discussions with council on woodlands
Where we are at with the council helping find us a plot
Last meeting with council and how it went
Last attempted meeting with council and next steps as there wasn’t one
Update on discussions with EFL about possibility of identifying a site just outside of the city boundary etc
The problem is we know the answer to most of those questions and we know everything is at an impasse.
We know Wasps are blocking a return to the Ricoh unless the club agree to their ridiculous indemnification demands. We know the council are doing nothing as they have publicly stated they will do the absolute minimum required by law. There is no reason to think there has been a meeting with the council or will be one anytime soon and we know the council have failed to respond to requests from the club for meetings. As for the EFL the update will be there is nowhere for us to play in Coventry and we are working to locate a suitable site.
So what you're really suggesting is that the fans put pressure on the club to build a stadium outside the city therefore permanently moving the club out of Coventry. Is that really what you want?
Just like to say Councils and politicians are all cunts ...solicitors too are a bunch of lying deceitful corrupt cunts as well
Hate this sentiment. It’s clearly not true as even a cursory glance into any politician outside the greasy pole for the top job would show you. And all it does is excuse the actual cunts, they get away with it because “they’re all the same”. It incentivises being a lying c**t because there’s no upside to not being.
Do better. We get the politicians we deserve.

If by a Miracle CCFC get promoted to the Championship I think SISU would cash their chips in!The thing with IF we were Championship next season.
I think if we were in the mix and likely to get promoted this season attendances at Stans would increase, and that might lead to a small increase at the start of next season.
But it's widely perceived that the jump between Champ and L1 is much larger than between L1 &2. Look at the differences in wages and transfer fees for a start. So if we go up and struggle yes I think we'd have lower attendances, because there are people who don't want to go and watch their team more than likely get beaten, especially so when it involves a jorney to another city to do so..

Don’t you know the myth, SISU can sell us at any point with or without an interested buyer.Who would buy us ?
Why would it be a miracle, we finished 8th in league 1 last season, improved our squad and are now top of league 1.If by a Miracle CCFC get promoted to the Championship I think SISU would cash their chips in!
