Yes he is- Sam McAllumI hope “Mark” ( @better days ) is on the case to get us a loan from them
Is McCallum that far ahead of Mason though? And yes, if he strops he goes — still leaves us without a left back.
He’s ahead of mason for me better going forward, taller, stronger & has that long throw.Mason is very good his size is what worries me at times probably edges McCallum in defending slightly. From what I’ve seen (which I admit is limited), McCallum is a very special talent. Robins obviously rates him higher than Mason, which at the end of the day matters more than our opinion.
Players on the edge of the squad have to stay motivated and work hard. They have to be ready to go physically and mentally if/when called upon. It’s sucks but it’s part and parcel of the job.
Jesus Christ wtf
Jesus Christ wtf
I would suspect that Robins has already told Mason some weeks ago that if McAllum goes then he's in, he just has to bide his time. This is not exactly shock news is it, Robins will have managed the situation. He’s ahead of mason for me better going forward, taller, stronger & has that long throw.Mason is very good his size is what worries me at times probably edges McCallum in defending slightly.
And he’s played what 20 games ? £3m plus add ons for that is bloody good businessWhat he forgot to mention was we got him for free or a small fee
I think that guy probably forgets a great many things. What he forgot to mention was we got him for free or a small fee
Club getting promotion is way more important than developing a player for someone elseDon’t thinks it’s a dig as much as why develop someone else’s player when we have our own in the same position who also needs games and is of a similar level, sort of.
Also loans coming back on twice the money can’t be great for morale.
Bloody great business mate£3m plus addons, plus a loan for the rest of the season, is a good deal all round for everyone involved. Happy with that.
I don't understand why everyone else would get their noses out of joint, if it was me and one of my work colleagues played well and landed a big new deal somewhere I wouldn't begrudge him, I'd want to do the same, and that means playing well.Club getting promotion is way more important than developing a player for someone else
Its more the fans acting like dumped ex gfs. Happy to throw baby out with bathwaterI don't understand why everyone else would get their noses out of joint, if it was me and one of my work colleagues played well and landed a big new deal somewhere I wouldn't begrudge him, I'd want to do the same, and that means playing well.
Yeah, I see your point but then aren’t we doing something similar, in terms of development, by loaning in Walsh and O’Hare? The only difference is theyve never been ‘ours’. I guess it also depends if we have anyone behind Mason who is decent?Indeed, but if we have the option of developing our own player or someone else’s? After all, we’ve already sold McCallum (maybe), we should be developing the next sale...
Anyone moaning needs their head looking at £3m+ and a loan back is great business what do people expect I can’t remember any young left backs from league 1 going for anywhere near thatI don't understand why everyone else would get their noses out of joint, if it was me and one of my work colleagues played well and landed a big new deal somewhere I wouldn't begrudge him, I'd want to do the same, and that means playing well.
What an idiot. When have we sold a player for that in the past 10/15 years?
Someone doesn’t understand the food chain
I don’t think McCallum would manage that much in my back garden
Start at a low base it’s easy to improve he has terrible stamina terrible positional sense. I like robins but like us all he has a blind spot to certain players McCallum I feel is one
For every Mason and Hyam who both came from league academies we have Bosma and the like. Please nobody quote McCallum here as he is playing because he is the only one fit because the manager had a blind spot to his best left back and let him go on loan.
I didn’t go on Friday but Mason must have been appalling if people are thinking of leaving him out for McCallum this lad is way short of the quality required for league football at this stage, Brown is streets ahead of the rest and has a bit of nastiness in his play.
The loan back of Maddison wasn't very successful really, was it?I am not keen on the loan backs, if he does come back then let him be on the bench as cover.
Of course, it’s not Mason I’m worried about, it’s having no left sided defenders next season. From what I’ve seen (which I admit is limited), McCallum is a very special talent. Robins obviously rates him higher than Mason, which at the end of the day matters more than our opinion.

Have Norwich got anyone we could have as part of deal?
So we never try it again? The entire team dipped that season csnt put it all on maddisonThe loan back of Maddison wasn't very successful really, was it?

Would imagine he’s on way for medical expect it to be announced this evening for sure don’t think the offer was accepted till few hours agoSo is it official?

Especially when you consider that if reports are to be believed, we have got them to triple their original bid. So we did 'stand firm'.£3m for a League One left back who has played 25 first team games is great business.
Don't start with that, I never quite recovered hearing that Phil Masinga had been spotted in the Burger King by the Ricoh on deadline dayPutting it out there my guess is a shock signing coming in tomorrow
