He’s ahead of mason for me better going forward,taller,stronger & has that long throw.Mason is very good his size is what worries me at times probably edges McCallum in defending slightly.From what I’ve seen (which I admit is limited), McCallum is a very special talent. Robins obviously rates him higher than Mason, which at the end of the day matters more than our opinion.
Players on the edge of the squad have to stay motivated and work hard. They have to be ready to go physically and mentally if/when called upon. It’s sucks but it’s part and parcel of the job.

I would suspect that Robins has already told Mason some weeks ago that if McAllum goes then he's in, he just has to bide his time. Club getting promotion is way more important than developing a player for someone elseDon’t thinks it’s a dig as much as why develop someone else’s player when we have our own in the same position who also needs games and is of a similar level, sort of.
Also loans coming back on twice the money can’t be great for morale.

Start at a low base it’s easy to improve he has terrible stamina terrible positional sense. I like robins but like us all he has a blind spot to certain players McCallum I feel is one
For every Mason and Hyam who both came from league academies we have Bosma and the like. Please nobody quote McCallum here as he is playing because he is the only one fit because the manager had a blind spot to his best left back and let him go on loan.
I didn’t go on Friday but Mason must have been appalling if people are thinking of leaving him out for McCallum this lad is way short of the quality required for league football at this stage, Brown is streets ahead of the rest and has a bit of nastiness in his play.
