Robins talking about fans being angry (1 Viewer)

Think fans would be less angry if they saw some similar passion. I don’t like but don’t mind losing when you can see the effort at 100%
It’s a difficult take when you are seeing a promotion chasing lesson being written off before the end of October .

It is true, but just him making statements like that show he is not in the right frame of mind to manage a football club out of an awful run of 2 wins in 18 matches. His general demeanour is having a negative effect now on the overall spirit of the playing staff. Especially now with the absence seemingly of anyone else to pick up the reins.
I said give him until Xmas a few weeks ago but now sadly I think if we haven’t picked up a win in the next few games and he still looks like a wet weekend then King has to think about the next step 🤷‍♂️

It’s not going to calm the situation

I said previously, if something is going on in his personal life he should be given leave, the fans told that he has personal issues to deal with, and all criticism would end.

He’s a public figure. Part of that is having your personal issues becoming public knowledge. That is just something he has to accept

it’s just my view but I have no issue if he wants to stand there and fuck everyone out of it, and ram it down their throats if he did turn it around.

But he won’t turn it around. We won’t challenge for the playoffs this season. There is nothing that he can change

He is right.

Nothing compares to life and death and there's more important things in life than everything we do.

Does that mean people can't get upset and annoyed at things?

Some peoples life seems to be on this forum revelling in the ability to moan and whinge

It’s moved on then from being the fault of people who spend money attending away games to people who enjoy debating the affairs of the club that they love?

It’s not debate though it’s just moaning. It’s incredibly boring. If people love the club that much get behind it rather than revelling in misery

If we’re only allowed to get excited/animated about things that are life and death, what is the point in going to games?

Didn’t hear the interview today. But he has said similar in the past and in a totally different context than is being made out here. I.e. the players don’t need to be nervous, it’s just a game of football, go out and enjoy it and play to your potential with freedom - it’s not life and death etc.

I thought his comment in the interview about life and death was telling. He probably needs a couple of weeks away from everything at this point.

Which I think we’d all understand.

Why won’t he do it? If he isn’t in the right frame of mind to do his job then he needs to step back for a few weeks

If it's true that he was looking to bring in an assistant manager, it's probably because he doesn't think there's anyone at the club who'd be able to take over temporarily.

But for the long term future, anyone would be better taking over temporarily.

We’d all just say “it’s one of those things, can’t be helped, we’ll go again next season”

I get that he might not like his personal issues being discussed publicly, but as he’s a public figure he has to accept it. It’s being discussed anyway

Now I’ve heard it all- you’re saying “anyone” would be better than Robins?

Yes, if Robins is struggling with grief then absolutely.

The pain of losing a parent is incredible. If that is affecting him then he needs some time off

Well for Robbins to to go up to the fans that was handing out shit is unusual for him! So I would say that there are issues we don't know about.

Feels like a bit of a tactic from Robins to deflect from the players with the media comments and confronting that fan
