Guess we wont be seeing him again then.

I feel Rose looked best last season when he came on just behind the striker. Always feel like as a CM he cant pass or read the game particularly well. I think he has potential to be reasonable at league 1 level but he has ultimately been poor this season.

Good luck to him and hopefully he makes a full recovery.

It's quite interesting at this time of year when you see headlines like 'so and so is out for the rest of the season'. Not as bad a pill to swallow with about 10 weeks left than seeing the headline in August!

Awful situation for him, I really do feel for him. He was playing brilliantly last year while chipping in with a few goals. I do think Slade was telling him to stay back because this season he wasn't venturing forward like he did last year and wasn't half the player we saw when he joined. Probably the last we'll see of him hope he does well in his career.

Is his contract up in the summer?

To be fair to the guy, that's a comment you could make about most of the first team though.

Yes, that's likely the last we've seen of him. It's a shame for him, no one like to see a players season ended from a big injury.
I think you could get better for your money in league 2 tho than Andy Rose. He fits the bill perfectly of inconsistent!

I really liked him last year, but has been pretty poor this time round. Wonder if that is to do with the management though?
It's a valid point.

The only time he was any good for us was when he was a box to box player and getting into the opposition penalty area. He looked pretty good doing that.

As soon as he stopped doing that he became a bit pointless and offered little to the team

He was awful last season as well. He scored a couple of goals and that's it.

no loss - average player - not good enough for us to have a chance in games to win - wish him well though and a speedy recovery

In the last 10-15 games he was one of the better players and we wouldn't have finished 8th without him.

That may say more about the rest of the team at the time, and the other players being selected however.

Technically he was poor, awful in a conventional centre midfield position where the useless Slade used him for the last few months.

He had a great engine and a habit of popping up with goals, his best performances were where he was playing right back or just behind the forwards as he could use his athleticism to good effect.

No matter how bad you think he was, he'll be replaced by someone even worse. And you'll be saying "if only we had Rose back"...
