And if it's just a strain he could be back a lot sooner, we don't know what the damage is so no one knows how long he is going to be out for.
Didn’t Bryan robson have recurring issues with a shoulder injury? seem to recall he went off in one of our games with that problem.

Rudoni is probably the single most important player in the squad. I posted when I first saw him that I thought he was the nearest thing I have seen to Ian Gibson (left) star of the 1966-67 promotion season. He has progressed since then (he's more consistent than Gibbo).
He has the fastest feet so retains possession, he assists, he scores and takes the sexiest corners. Torp or Paterson can fill in and we will lose nothing defensively, but it is a huge hole going forward. I think people are underestimating the impact of this, sorry.
I don't think any other midfielder we have can play his role so well so the key is not who replaces him. However EMC and Tats have to step up to the plate to create the chances and score goals - including against opposition all of whom have something to play for.
I agree with most of what you say but, although it is indeed very bad news, it’s not disastrous.
Torp is a good player - as is Allen come to that - and they will be decent replacements. Fortunately Rudoni’s injury has come just as Haji and EM-C are fit again and Sake is getting back to form.
I’m sure we will still score enough goals, even if they come in a different way.
Ah yes, Lloyd got him of course…Yeah, he ended up having it pinned.
I think the game you're referring to may have been the first occasion it happened and the start of his problems after a challenge from Lloyd McGrath
Good old Lloyd. Put Robson and Gascoigne into the advertising boards.
Was but a scratch! My favourite ever player. Remember him waving to the crowd from his stretcher after breaking his leg at HR.

Lampard has definitely shown he can come up with a plan b. Hopefully he's got something up his sleeve
You heard his leg crack! Was grim.
Was it Ipswich in some daft cup?
Was it the Full Members Cup or the Simod Cup or something silly.
You did hear the crack!! I remember it well. I was sat in the Skyblue Terrace and think it was over the other side. You heard his leg crack! Was grim.

He did. I feel like he hurt it scoring for England in the 86 world cup?Didn’t Bryan robson have recurring issues with a shoulder injury? seem to recall he went off in one of our games with that problem.
I think Sheaf can actually play as an 8, don’t mind him slightly higher upRe Torp stepping up, I really think it depends how we play.
If the midfield is two 6’s and a 10, with him at 10, that isn’t ideal. One 6 and two 8’s suits him better, but then you have the issue of Sheaf playing 8, which doesn’t really suit him.
Big fan of Torp as I appreciate good technical players, and I feel he has more to offer, but he isn’t going to run with the ball and occupy players in the same way as Rudoni.
He injured it in 86 WC against Morocco and I don't think he played again in that WC and had surgery to finally sort it out. A couple of minutes after Robson went off Wilkins was sent off!He did. I feel like he hurt it scoring for England in the 86 world cup?

Grimes sitting is absolutely the way forward. Does the job much better than Sheaf IMO.Sheaf sitting, Grimes and Torp further fwd. Lampard talked about Grimes playing further up the pitch when we signed him.
Was it the Full Members Cup or the Simod Cup or something silly.
Think it was one of them. Shit game to lose a valuable player in
You did hear the crack!! I remember it well. I was sat in the Skyblue Terrace and think it was over the other side.
Yes. Next game against Poland there were a few changes with Beardsley & Reid + others coming in and England started to play. For throwing the ball away/at the ref?
Torp did score a really good goal crashing into the box the game he got that doubleI think Rudoni has come on leaps & bounds under Lampard & will be a huge loss, however long he's out for.
Interestingly, whilst someone like Torp could certainly replace parts of his game, the one thing that's really stood out stats wise recently are Rudoni's headed goals. All 4 of his goals under Lampard have been headers. He'd never scored 1 for us or Huddersfield before but used to be pretty decent with them at Wimbledon. Can Torp time his runs into the box well enough? I think possibly yes, it's whether he then has the actual heading accuracy & physical attributes to pull it off.
Rugby tackled Gascoigne, who then whacked Lloyd across the face with his forearm, which caused it to break.Good old Lloyd. Put Robson and Gascoigne into the advertising boards.

Give him a can of coke and a ciggie and he'll be right as rainGive him Stoke and Derby off to rest. Bandage the shit out of the shoulder, stick a big needle full of toradol in it and get him out there for Sunderland.
This is the crunch end of the season in an elite sport with £100m+ on the line. You do what needs to be done
Didn't even flinch!I feel like a Lloydo stalker now...but here's the clip!
Not the last time for Gazza either...
In fact a lot of Gazza's injuries were self inflicted.
Gazza broke his arm wasn't it New Years day by trying to smack McGrath down the line,Good old Lloyd. Put Robson and Gascoigne into the advertising boards.
