3-4 million for Bigi!!! Someone's been on the bank holiday loopy juice!!!!
Someone explain how the hell he is worth anywhere near that!!! He has played about 30 games in a side relegated from championship, he scored no goals and I think can only have one handful of assists at best.
I think if we get 1 million from Newcastle we should snap their hands off - 750k not bad....if it allows us to keep Crainie and Keogh.....which is a big if I would be truning cartwheels at this transfer. I like Bigi but an see him getting nowhere near Newcastle's first team to be honest.
750k-1 mill is probably about his value at this time, however it would a huge mistake to let him go. Was pretty underwhelming for the second half of the season, lost his confidence playing in a losing side like most of the squad did.
A few seasons in league 1 will do our young players no harm. In the championship you are regularly playing against ex premiership players or players that play national football and the inexperienced players tend to get over run and give too much respect to the opposition. Playing against a lower quality of player in this league will only be beneficial for their development and giving them confidence in their ability. If we keep all of our young players add some quality higher up the pitch then in 3/4 years time we could have a very good championship side with Gael, Thomas, Clarke, Hussey, Cameron.
Well it should be at least 4mil in add ons then, granted he's not worth that now but in the future he has the potential to be one hell of a player. And agreed sisu selling for less is the issue and just makes no sense. Regardless of whether the team see the money or not they should still be asking for more money, same as keogh - well worth more than 1mil its a joke, their business acumen is ironically terrible.
