I'll take back everything if it goes through or it comes out he offered a really great deal with no dodgy clauses etc.
I am more than happy to have truck loads of humble pie when it's a decent outcome.
Hoffman is a fan and wants to buy us, could that be his fan ownership?
Maybe his backers are all fans tooHe's not buying it.
Probably relates predominantly to the PL and spread over several years ?The fans participation is interesting because I do not think that involves the trust at all. I would also suspect it would be a separate class of share with no real say or voting rights. Simply a different way to raise the funds to make the bid. After all this the fans deserve a proper say not lip service to fan involvement. I hope I am wrong
Why in heavens name would you offer them £25m in add ons? That basically mortgaging any potential future success and making it harder to retain that success. That's a huge figure
You could be out of work if we only talk football on here ?
Would be foolish of anyone to think the timing was coincidental.
That's the way forward. Put in a serious bid, show who the investors are and give proof of funds. Even better if they let the supporters know they have a viable plan and the backing to make it work.
Do that and I doubt there would be very many supporters not giving them their full support.

With all of the negative comments and conspiracy theories it is almost as if some people don't want bids to be made and a change to happen.
I was searched but took mine in in my shoes, bit uncomfortable but they were squashy enough. Where did you hide yours?OR he has just used common sense and heard about it / been told about it?
Talking of conspiracy, it's amazing all those pigs got through the extra body searches wasps are insisting on.
I think everyone is behind new ownership and SISU buggering off, I just think people tire of the childish antics in the press. This could be something or nothing, but we don't know as one paper makes it something and one makes it nothing.
After years of utter mismanagement and our desperation of getting rid of SISU, I for one feel a little tired at the local press fighting their own childish battle at the expense of our hopes and dreams and survival of our football club.
At this point in time we need a good decent hard hitting journalist who is fighting with us, not for their own personal plaudits.

My point is that we should be rising above it and uniting as a fanbase right now though.
lol....seems Andy Turner wrote the lastest one. Gilbert been dropped to the bench?I'm starting to suspect Les and Simon are making the whole thing up and have a bet over who can get the most hits in 24 hours. The winner gets a shiny new pound coin which the Telegraph have managed to get at least 10 articles about so far.

Hard to believe I know but maybe, having watched the situation at Coventry this season, he was clever enough to think things out for himself. Some people do have that ability. Not everyone believes everything that they are told.
So Wasps were in on the pigs? Interesting theory! Maybe they were briefed by Simon too.
Tim will be there to console you !!More hero worshipping of Elliot and Hoffman tomorrow I'm sure.
Really hope so. Just to go to the football and forget all of the other stuff will be amazing. It really would be a case of having our club back again.I have managed to stay grounded throughout all these fake rumours that have floated about the past few months. But after reading about this latest bid I can't help but get excited.... anyone else starting to finally believe this could be it?!
Tim will be there to console you !!
Pretty sure it would happen with a decent offer and plan we can get behind.
With all of the negative comments and conspiracy theories it is almost as if some people don't want bids to be made and a change to happen. You honestly think that this group of 5 business men as part of their strategy to buy the club said to each other "Lets release the news of a take over bid before the Walsall game to ramp up the pressure on Sisu." There will be some form of protest tomorrow I am sure, but I think, having read comments on here for some weeks now, that these would have happened anyway.
We have been on the road to oblivion for sometime now. Someone comes in, a fan of the club who attends games home and away, and offers the chance for a change of direction, of saving the club and from some on here all that you get is sniping and snide remarks. Hoffman may have made mistakes in the past, although apart from being on the board of the club when most of us thought that Sisu were saviours, I am not sure in particular what he did wrong. When he saw the way things were going he stepped down. He certainly doesn't seem to be the flavour of the month with Sepalla and Fisher which would also indicate his heart is in the right place.
For me and I think for most City fans a choice between someone with the clubs best interests at heart and the heartless bunch of shysters who have been in charge for 9 years is an easy choice to make. Even if they are not a complete success in future they cannot in anyway shape or form be worse than what we have got now. It has to be better to take a chance with Hoffman than to stay with Sisu ( not that fans have a choice)
By the way, if it is true, how pathetic is it that she will not meet him in person.
In fairness, someone could offer SISU 50 million to the club tomorrow with a 10 year plan and you would find a way not to support it.

I appreciate you're concerned the takeover needs to be genuine and the right one, which I agree with, but I've barely seen one positive comment from you in 72 pages.
No one is going to offer a golden bid for a League 2 club with no stadium, academy, or training ground or other assets. This might just about be the best we get, we should all get behind it and at least give it a chance. Even if it isn't perfect, I struggle to fathom how anything can be worse than SISU going forward. I'm sure if an offer is accepted a plan for the future will be put in place.
