The offer makes no sense
The offer makes no sense. A lot of add ons based on if buts and maybes. Most of the offer is based on a premier league return and did t he say a timescale on the add ons of 7 years? The upfront money they would double by selling Ryton. Do these people actually have any money at all?
Exactly. They seem to totally ignore that SISU are not interested in a deal that will force them to realise a huge loss in exchange for a few pounds and promisses of more if the future is bright and positive.
To me it underlines that Hoffman is the wrong man for the job. He need to understand SISU, how they work and - most importantly - how they make their money - before he can table a bid they would listen to.
It doesn't matter one bit if the club is worth more or less the offer - it's all about what SISU will potentially gain or lose overall.
It would be different if SISU were acitvely seeking a way out and put the club up for sale. Then it would be about assets and debt write off - like when SISU came in.
But they haven't put the club up for sale, and they won't have to, even if the club is losing its home at the Ricoh, must close down the acadamy, faces less revenues in league 2 and sees a huge drop in ST sales. SISU will cut costs as they have since 2010 and maybe be forced to make additional, but small loans to the club. It won't force them to sell.
But the club will suffer even more and make it even less likely for serious investors to work up an appetite.
He is repeating past mistakes of believing SISU can be forced out by urging fans to deprive the club of money or create loud sisu-out-campaigns. It didn't work in 2013 and it won't work in 2017.
He need to rethink his strategy.
I guess the other way GH could come back would be to readdress the balance of the offer. Say another million or millions up front but either reduce the percentages of the add-ons or delete some of the add-ons altogether.
The golden share hung up high, ladder match for ownership. I'm inNew ceo will be vince macmahon. Only then woukd i back sisu to fix us
Err no. But it shouldn't matter as CCFC is worthless!
I think I agree - but how would you suggest that he approaches it?
It's not worthless as I assume the offer has nil impact on the debt and that has to be written off.
So one asset alone is worth twice what's bee offered.
Main stand Noel always seemed like he had a few quidGrendel, maybe you and alan from GMK can chip in a few million to help?
Do you believe Tim Fisher leaked the news to Italia - wow that's some accusation.
Do you have any evidence?
But Grendel, there are no ifs and buts about how this will end without something changing ,we all know this club will drop once more. The offer makes no sense

So is Italia Tim Fisher?
Now I am really lost?
I am talking about Tim Fisher discussing bids and business directly in the press.
Calling them not credible and derisory.
A very strange thing to do during a potential business negotiation.
I am hoping he will keep his peace in a professional.
Or even better the potential buyers deal with Joy directly and not via email.
But Grendel, there are no ifs and buts about how this will end without something changing ,we all know this club will drop once more.
The most important issue at the moment is getting a leadership that has the club and it's supporters foremost in its mind.
I'm quite sure that more people would invest in this club with the right people in charge, and we still do not know who the other parties are and their potential wealth.
Even if they are worth many millions it doesn't mean they want to throw millions to aquire what is effectively a worthless football club.
Hoffman confirmed that he spoke to seppella regarding the bid.
I suggest you catch up with this thread as Italia revealed the offer on here didn't he and even knew there would be a second bid and even used some of the same phraseology that Hoffman used in his interview.
I assume Garry and Italia share a common interest
Maybe their common in intrest is CCFC, which is more then our owners haveHoffman confirmed that he spoke to seppella regarding the bid.

Hoffman confirmed once Tim Fisher cane out saying there was abid and it was not a credible.
I am abroad and can't keep up with this thread.

I doubt his Universal Credit stretches that far.Grendel, maybe you and alan from GMK can chip in a few million to help?

Yes but your oldI got paid when I was at university
Yes but your old
Being abroad doesn't prevent you from looking at Italias posts on this thread.
Fisher to my knowledge has made no comment.
Except he left when he saw the way things were going. Most of us thought that Sisu were going to be good for the club. I certainly did. He obviously felt the same.He may have had limited influence, yet he still happily sat on the board for 4 years, doesn't do him any credit either way.
They are so dismissive of our opinions they put an open letter on the official web site.
The slowest internet access in the world whilst in a very remote part of it does prevent me from trawling 70 pages though to find Italia posts.
Unless you are going to tell me that Italia spoke to Les Reid pretending to be Tim Fisher about the bid been derisory and not credible.
Then I am right to tell Tim Fisher to do his business in private.
As we all know there is bad memories of the last time a chairman briefed against a bid publically. It was when the offer if accepted meant said chairman would lose his job.
Funny how Sisu scream confidentiality when they want to deflect a question or are doing business on land ect but are quick to spill the beans to a cheap paper when it is on the other foot.
They are such an unprofessional company, no wonder they can't run a football club wish they would just take the money and fuck off., before the club is actually worthless.
Hey Nick isn't an open letter just an attention seeking device, you were so sure of that earlier this week. :emoji_rolling_eyes:
Decent offer by the looks of it.
Now trying to explain to the missus in the City Arms why I'm on SBT and not paying her any attention...
