I'm happy Burton isn't one. It's miles in the wrong direction for me. We can find better grounds in terms of access, capacity and facilities closer to Coventry.
Bus ride away, I'd rather Rovers.Bristol City would be ideal?
Why I'm convinced the Alexander Stadium will play some part in our futureI still think Leicester Tigers is an option. No reason it has to be somewhere that's a current football stadium.
Agreed mate I would prefer the butts all day better location than the Ricoh more pubs etc alsoCouldn't temporary stands be erected at the Butts to take the capacity to 10000. Hope this is one of there options as 'd love to see the Council's faces squirm if it was. I'd love it if this gets announced just love it!!!
Only takes half an hour on the train to Northampton. 15 minute walk or quick bus journey up the road to Sixfields from the station.
Not that I want us to go there.
Takes me 25 min at most to get down the a45 to blues groundIt's a half hour walk to sixfields from the train station.
I think overall the quickest you will do both is about 45 ins for St Andrews, and 55 for Sixfields.
Think in terms of ease of journey for people living in Cov St Andrews probably easier. But as I have said Sixfields is my preferred stadium.
Future merger!Looking forward to the banter with the locals again if its Northampton. How dull.
I would be surprised if it was though, as the Cobblers are under different owners now, and I am can't see any real benefit to them for having lodgers there, especially on what would be a long term basis
Can they stop it?Never going to be the Butts. The council won't allow professional football to be played there.
They're the freeholder. They made it a conniption that no professional football could be played there as part of approving CRFC's development plans. Can they stop it?
Didn't think they could as that's what they were trying to achieve last year and got rumbled
It is many years since I visited St Andrews but I when I did I couldn't find any parking spaces anywhere near the ground, but there must be a bus from New St.From center of Coventry St Andrews is less than half the distance of sickfields.

Home games WILL be away games!Don’t give a shit won’t be going if it’s outside Coventry. Will just go to the away games instead.

the owner has said that he does not want to upset the council has he needs to get planning permission through just to enhance the stadium for CRFCCouldn't temporary stands be erected at the Butts to take the capacity to 10000. You possibly could be you'd lose the academy if you did as there wouldn't be room for both.genuine question as don't live in Cov and never been near Higgs.
I assume we couldn't put temp stands there ?

The prospect of playing to 4,000 fans at St Andrews, should help push a few deals over the lineThe appeal of Birmingham would be the playing surface and stadium and therefore an ability to attract players
How did you manage to hear their voices above all the others in your head?Speaking to Fisher and Sisu they cannot wait to lose 10,000 paying customers
Agree, the pitch has certainly played a part in some of our games although so have the useless bleeders who couldn't trap a medicine ball tooThe appeal of Birmingham would be the playing surface and stadium and therefore an ability to attract players
You just owned him :happy::happy::happy::happy::happy:How did you manage to hear their voices above all the others in your head?
It's also got reasonable corporate facilities which will generate decent income.Agree, the pitch has certainly played a part in some of our games although so have the useless bleeders who couldn't trap a medicine ball too
