Russell Slade and footballers' data malarkey (1 Viewer)

This seems a bit of an odd one to me. Match of the day 'experts' are illustrating tactics, weaknesses, players prowess all the time, and commentators delight on quoting statistics about players and teams all the time. Will they not be allowed to do this, if Russell successfully gets betting companies to cough up. Can horses sue betting companies for publishing their details in the Racing Post? Russell seems to be heading up a number of footballers claiming they should be rewarded for someone saying that they are 5'11" , couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo, and can do 45 keepy uppies with their left foot. For me, it seems wholly spurious and wreaks of people out to see if they can get a few extra quid, rather than any moral outrage that someone has gone to the bother of logging records. Citing GDPR, but to me it just seems wrong. I suspect these are lower level footballers keen to top up their income (headed by Russell Slade - say no more)
