Very different. The defensive side of his game has come on leaps and bounds, he’s significantly worse in the air too, but you can’t help but feel we’re a much more potent attaching force with him in the team.

Better than McCallum for me

I don't agree. I like Giles, but i feel that for the moment at least McCallum is better defensively and even going forward I think he often delivers more. McCallum has a goal or two in him but Giles never looks confident in front of goal.

Slightly surprised Wolves have given Giles such a long contract and disappointed too as I would have liked us to sign him permanently as he undoubtedly has a lot of potential.

I wonder if this has had any bearing on the selection for the position or that we may have been hoping to steal him further on.

His free kick for the U23s the other day was quality. Obviously has ability, question is can we ever get him up to the required fitness levels.
