I'm sorry to say this but every year we sack the Manager and the go hire some tit.
Bothroyld is full off it, i don't believe anything he say's. we were 5th, then he sign's Mr King [who does have a lot off skill] but now it does seem that every team want's to beat us. I think it is bad karma!!!!!!!!!!
I dont mind what league we are in, just what too be a proud Sky blue.

It's hard to be a fan off something that makes you sad and you can feel in your blood that things are so wrong:confused:
Fingers crossed im wrong or we do see some change. Or 25 years of support will end. And then i will have to support Pompy or Saints and that would kill me.
Hope we will enjoy the rest of the season

You're stupid. Every team want's to beat every other team in this league. Di Matteo took Baggies up with an already very strong squad and with money to spend. Boothroyd isn't making the mistakes, the players on the pitch are. Boothroyd has done nothing wrong.

You're an absolute c**t if you say you're going to support another team.

Think before you speak next time.

kthxbye

Wow that was harsh:laugh:! I was just making a point. And if i cant say what i think, then i why not post or read this forum again. And if all Coventry fans are like you GOD HELP US!

P.s I would never support any one but COV, just feel we need to rethink? Sorry

To be fair that was abit harsh I don't agree with you but im not going to start name calling because you have different views on the manager and team....

Some of the points he made though such as "every team want's to beat us". It's stupid. And any so called fan of a team is a c**t for going to support another team, or even thinking about it.

Swedlee72, firstly i am a bit embarassed by the above respnce to your post!! A tad harsh is putting it mildly!!

I do not aggree with your statement regards bad karma, King is the only shining light at present. Aidy is not realy at fault, we are having a stinking run at the moment, but the results have not justified the performances we have been putting in. Keep the faith, we will scrape a win somewhere and i am sure that will kick start a string of good results for us. The lack of investment doesn't help, but we can't change that the same players were putting in a great shift earlier in the season, just low on confidence i'm sure.

The whole point of the forum is that fans do have different view points and are able to discuss them so you should definitely return to the site again Swedlee. On another note, my opinion is that changing the manager isn't the right thing to do at this moment in time and it could be potentially disastrous. AB hasn't had the funds and time to show what he can do at Coventry, there has been glimpses of a very great team under this manager but unfortunately the results haven't gone our way. Eventually this all will come together so you should keep the faith and not think about taking your support elsewhere. As for Marlon King signing resulting in bad Karma, thats a bit silly as he's the only one trying and scoring at the moment. PUSB:D

Everyone is allowed their view, here's mine!

King hasn't brought bad karma, he's brought some much needed quality to the team. Compare the team to the beginning of the season and it's incredible how much better they are playing now. What's even more incredible is that the better we seem to play, harder it becomes to win!

Stick with the city, they'll give you anything but a boring ride!

As Andy said sacking the manager is getting boring now, it doesn't work! We've had managers before who have got other teams out of this league so thier ability has already been proven. The simple fact is they, at the time of their promotions, had a board who were willing to invest SOME money in to the teams, SISU/RR don't want to spend ANY money on cov. Yes ok they might be paying to keep us out of debt but unless they invest on the pitch they will be keeping us out of debt for the length of thier stay. Cov fans are fed up of watching below average players thats why they are not turning up. Aidy is doing the best he can with what he has got, it's not like we are getting beat 3 or 4-0 every game, school boy errors are costing us and that is down to the players, nothing Aidy has any influence over.

To be fair the Colchester fans warned us about Aidy. The early posts on 606 said that the U's played really well early on and were in play off position but then teams worked them out and they plummeted. Does the story sound familiar? And who does he bring with him but Clive Platt in order to play the same football. Contrastingly, my dad is also a season ticket holder at Watford and saw Aidy's team when they went up - they played a mix of on the floor and in the air and my dad is convinced that Aidy is a good manager.

I think the problem is the resources at hand. Aidy is a good manager but our team is shite, with the exception of a few notable players (like King), and he is limited to what he can play. Not being funny but we're hardly going to become Brazil overnight without a team of Brazilians are we? Asking this lot to play passing football may be a step to far, even with constant training. Aidy is making the best of what he has.

The crux of all this is that without investment in players, nothing is going to change. Unless we get some on the floor players to mix it up with an in the air approach, we are doomed to the same old shit each week I'm afraid.

So I say keep Aidy but please SISU, please please invest in some players or this is a downwards spiral that not even Mourinho could do anything about.

p.s. the previous emails were a bit harsh - there is just city fans on here so no need to try and upset others, we're all here to chat about the club and players, nothing else

Thanks for the wise words and Interskyblues i really hope your right! I am sorry for my negative post:( But living in Sweden and being so far from my home, it makes me sad. I have not been to Rioch Arena yet and dream off going some when soon. But what is my dream seems to nightmare for others. I read the 606 every day and the ccov fans don't seem happy going there? Why such low turn outs?
I will have more faith and my next post will be more positive :p
Cheers

Don't panic Swedlee - we've been shit for ages, another season won't hurt us none :p

The crowds are reflective of the football on show - until they sort it out on the pitch it will stay at around 14-18 - though we did have 28 for Leeds which was nice!

Block 15, where I sit, is full of oldies and families - very sedate lol

I don't agree that crowds are reflective of football. If we played like brasil but still got the same results as now, the attendances would be low. If we were top of the table playing constant long ball always to platt and always winning, we would have at least 22000 plus every week. As a lot of famous managers have said, it's a results business and you don't get anyway without them.

Small difference to colchester is that we were not playing well at the start of the season. We're playing better now but not getting the results.

Sacking the manager is not the answer to be honest, and as mentioned it's getting boring. I think Boothroyd has done well to get to where he has been with us this season without any supposed backing from the board. If we can get a bit of investment into transfers and switch our play up (which we have been doing recently) then in the future i can see us becoming a better team.
Football is a confidence game at the end of the day, that why were in our current bad form we have no confidence. Our bad form has to end eventually, it's just a cause of when.

From what i've reed on 606 and seen on the live games on sky this year, it cost too much and its a bit stressful getting there and parking. The first few games we were looking good. but it did not last long and we have dropped down the table. The thing that upset me was the way were playing on LIVE TV= Long ball! It was so sad that all other fans watching on tv seeing the team i love hoffing the ball up to Platt and king every time the ball as at there feet. I wanted to cry every time we did this. This not football and should be not in are game:mad:
I have seen that the manager has mixed it up and we are trying to pass it a bit, but we cant win now.....That's sods law! The manager needs to pick up the boys as they are not as bad as they are playing! Have a good day guys.

Agreed with pretty much all of that

Stick with Aidy. Couldn't have done much more with what is available, so difficult to criticise. He will be learning a lot about who he can rely on during this period. Just hope that he will be supported by the board before the start of next season. Although frustrated at the lack of activity, the likes of Bristol City, Cardiff (if they don't go up) and that mob up the M69 must have scary balance sheets - and it won't be long before one of them goes under. KEEP THE FAITH and nice to shoot the breeze with fellow City fans.;)

A club like Coventry needs a degree of continuity after years of chopping and changing the management and playing staff at the club.

Is Boothroyd the answer? Who knows. His record is mixed but its more good than bad. Besides, the budget he is working on at the minute isn't great. I'd certainly only start to judge his time at Coventry at the end of the season.

Personally I think our league position atm is pretty accurate of how we've done so far, but I think some of the signings made have been canny. A bit more financial backing may be the answer to a push towards the Prem.

Its funny the we have a Casino as part of are stadium and we don't take any risks in the transfer market.. Maybe its because Ranson has spent all are money on blackjack and will not come out off his office any more;)
