So by your logic we shouldn’t have signed Huckerby (not wanted by Newcastle) or Gyokeres (not wanted by Swansea)? Why aren’t QPR in for him on a perm if he’s so good?
McCallum is more of a goal threat than Maatsen. Definately has an eye for a goal.Getting him back would be a fantastic signing
He knows the way we play, has an affinity with the club and will have definitely progressed since last being here
Would make us a lot more secure at the back, Maatsen was great going forward, but dog shit at defending
Defence was clearly the issue last year

The great chances Maatsen fired into row Z were one of the many huge frustrations.
Every f in game I was shouting keep the ball down. After the Fulham at home game thought this lad was gonna contribute alot of goals but flattered to deceive.

Seem to remember him scoring 2 decent goals for QPR in back to back games last season. I wouldn't say he has an eye for goal or is more prolific than Maatsen but I could see him matching or bettering Maatsen's tally of 1 league goal from LWB (2 of his goals came while playing AM).Hardly. His one goal during his last stint with us came from a calamitous goalkeeping error. Doesn't exactly equate to him being prolific for a defender.

I’m genuinely debating returning my season ticket if we sign this useless lump again
It’s just a woefully uninspiring signing, especially considering we’re also supposedly getting Palmer.Wow! He refuse you an autograph or something? You really come across as a woman scorned!

A player that is not already proven shite at this level whose fans aren’t ecstatic to see the back ofwho were you expecting exactly?
They won’t.Be careful my friend, these words may come back to haunt you.
McCallum would certainly be an upgrade on Maatsen.
One more reason I hope he signs then... less of a chance i'll be sat next to a moaning bed wetter like youI’m genuinely debating returning my season ticket if we sign this useless lump again
Thats what Im thinking, I assume they will be playing him on that LWThen you have to wonder why one is apparently going to one of the top teams in Germany and the other is not wanted by Norwich? Unless Maatsen is playing further forward there?
McCallum would certainly be an upgrade on Maatsen. He is excellent defensively, and can deliver a good cross and long throw. OK, he might not have the flair, but we need to stop conceding soft goals and he would help with that as Maatsen couldn't really defend. I would be very happy with this signing. Not sure Bidwell would want to be 2nd choice unless he's been considered for the left centre back position.

You're assuming he'll get games. Seems like a big leap to me. If he's playing Bundesliga games this season I'll be happy for him but also pretty f*cking surprised! Assume they've grabbed him to see how he develops.
It’s a loan not permanent so presumably they’ll be expecting him to contribute straight away or why sign him
In which position though. Attacking wise yes but defensively he wontLot of rose tinted glasses and confirmation bias in this thread. Maatsen will have a better career by far, grossly underrated by a lot on here.

Thats an anomaly based on his career to date.Yes ignore Sam's record Last season.
Macallum 2 in 17 championship games last season.
Maatsen 3 in 39. And dont forget he played as an attacking midfielder at times too.
