Reporter friend of mine has told me that Pressley has made enquiries into Sam Winnall and Scott Hogan from Scunthorpe and Rochdale respectively.

These are enquiries so who knows how far down the line we are, but they would be very good additions to replace Wilson.

40 Goals between them last season..

Winnall is a Wolverhampton lad that might help the situation..

Both strikers? Didn't the Scunny lad get a fair few goals last season?

Winnall 23
Hogan 17

Not bad returns

Indeed. Well if its true I hope it turns out to be correct, those 2 and David Goodwillie would be for me fantastic.

Wasn't Goodwillie the Lad who came from Scotland to Blackburn for quite a bit of money?

Correct indeed.. Released from Blackburn in June..

Have heard Michael Ngoo as a possible as well although he seems more likely going to Swindon.

Peterborough agreed a fee of £1m for Hogan with add-ons but he failed to agree to personal terms in January. Can't see us stumping that up.

Andy Turner has just tweeted:

@AndyTurnerccfc: Third player could be on way to #skyblues from #afcb as part of Callum Wilson deal. Could be striker Josh McQuoid

Bournemouth fan tweeted me saying

@tpalmer77: @SteveW88 just read you are in discussions for a 3rd afcb player. I reckon Mcquiod,Partington or Stockley.

Not sure of their positions. Awaiting response and review :)

Just spotted that. Not exactly prolific........

And yes I probably said the same about McGoldrick etc, but still.....

I don't think McQuiod has had a proper full season underneath him for any Club.. 17 senior goals in 147 appearances, even McGoldrick had a better record than that before joining us..

Think the other name the fan on twitter mentioned had a better goals / games ratio and he's only 20, albeit his best season was with Woking.

All for giving players a chance though

apparantly winnall has a year left on his contract and scunny will be looking in the region of 500k for the lad

I think Winnall would be a good signing..

Usually I would be all for giving players a chance however Pressley so far has brought in some very good players, I reckon a proven goal scorer would top it off, that's why I would go for Goodwillie ⚽️⚽️

We should've gone for Billy Paynter who's now joined Carlisle.
