Every time I have seen him, he has always looked good on the ball, but been really, really wasteful in front of goal. I notice he's got a goal per game ratio of one in every four at West Brom, which isn't good enough for a top striker.
I thought Peterborough looked a really good team last night. A more complete performance than we have put in since I don't know when.
They were quick, used the flanks really well and were very dangerous. If they keep playing like that the rest of the season they are going to be a big threat.
Been a history though of teams playing out of their skins in cup games. Can they play like that week in, week out? Really hope not, because they looked a much better side than us.
I watched the game last night with my son and we both said the Posh looked a really good team who deserved to win.We have to start winning starting on Saturday as teams like Peterborough,Millwall,Southend, and Barnsley who are on fire, are on good runs and will overtake us.This is a really important part of the season, when teams gain confidence while others drop down,so it's imperative the Sky Blues regain form and quick.
Just logged on here to consider starting a Samuelson thread (guess what!). It's a while since I've seen a player who kept standing players up and dragging the ball across them like he did - very impressive (on loan from West Ham?) If he carries on like that he'll be chased by Championship clubs for next year. Then again he made Prem League players look like mugs (a bit like the kid who is a class above on the five aside pitch). Thought he looked a future England certainty based on that game alone. Hope he's been kicked to bits by the time they play us !
