Just driven past the ricoh on the m6 and several cars with leicester flags going past.
when you look at the two clubs similar in size, fans and success in the past 10 years until now its upsetting how far we have fallen.
ccc and sisu should hang their heads in shame

Oh I see so because you saw them on the M6 near the Ricoh you assume they are from Coventry?

Where did i say i thought they were from coventry ?
another perthetic post 1991 im pointing out that the two clubs were very similar in size, fanbase and success until we got turned into a mid table 3rd division club without our own ground and owners who are only intent on taking money and not investing in the club to get success unlike our m69 neighbours and yes the Wasps flags are flying !

We're not similar in fans and haven't been for years. Their support didn't ditch them whereas ours did.

Any need to start yet another thread about this. Whilst I quite agree with your sentiments (what Cov fan wouldn't) the fact is we at where we are.

Let's come up with a plan to get out of this not bleat how good are neighbors are doing as I would prefer not to hear or see it.

Is it that simple? It might be but the fact is sisu won't leave and go so whilst sisu out could work they won't go.

So we are left with here and now. Sisu seem happy to make ccfc a mid table league 1 club maybe top 8 and making us self sufficent. This seems to suit the model at the moment.

Anyone else in January would of made a massive push for promotion in our position and chucked a few million quid at it. Why not? Yes it's money up front but what would the massively increased gates from gaining a top 2 and the money from going in to the championship got you back? Maybe 8m? So for a 2m outlay in December January they would of made 6m back in simple terms.

If it went wrong then you get the increased gate money and break even anyway and try again in league 1 next year. Remember we have a great stadium and manager in place.

How many of our top 6 rivals who were in a similar position to us chucked millions at it, in January?.

We will be about £6m better off being in the championship, but that is counter balanced by increased costs.

No, not really. They care more about their investors.

The only ways they have moved thr club forward is addressing the unsustainable wage bill, making us more self sufficient and continued investment in the academy.

The rest had been pretty shit.

True but we could of taken the lead and beaten them to it and secured promotion and been proactive. Fans would of noticed and as I say from what I say see worst case scenario we would of been playoffs anyway so very much increased money. Probably broke even worst case scenario

Whilst i agree thatthe club cant and shouldnt spend millions to go into debt I dont think anyone would say sisu have invested in this club to bring success and get us out of this awful league given the history and potential size of our club with a little success

Oh and Leicester have a bigger fan base, like it or lump it

Sent from my E5823 using Tapatalk

Depends what you mean by fan base. In terms of attendances over the years across the various leagues, given league position and momentum, there's little difference.

All clubs have their glory hunters and good timers: we had 28K just to celebrate the return to the ricoh.

Their owners didn't take them to Northampton. They haven't lost their stadium to a franchise rugby team. They have had several promotions and cup wins in the past thirty years. Give us all of that, our fan base would be larger. I think our fans have stuck by the club really well considering. We also have a huge potential following waiting for a reason to return.

So you saw cars on the M6 with Leicester flags on? So?

If I saw flags of Rochdale on the M6 does that 'say it all'

Strange thread.

Stadium purpose built for us with the view that we would eventually own at least half of it. That hope and the hope of a better financial future squashed by the insects with help from Sisu and CCC. I will always go but I can appreciate why others can't see any hope.

Well said irish. It seems that we have a few fans who are happy with owners who couldnt giveca toss and a club in the 3rd division with no signs of success or getting out. One day they will wake up and realise that theyve got a club being run into the ground

sisu are all we have

Take it or leave it. We all know sisu are crap owners, why depress yourself banging on about it every day?
