I hope we go back to form and give them a pasting, I can see it being the norm of late. We have all the possession and chances, they score a lucky goal from a defensive mistake and park the bus.

I hope Otis and covcity4life are right! But apart from a double in 2010 our record against the Iron isn't the best. Plus they are without a manager and won last time out....these things nagging at the back of my mind.

Time for the boys to grow into men.

Start with a young team to come out of the blocks and get at them. Bring Cole on to help retain possession if (when hopefully) we're leading in the later stages of the game. Phillips made a mistake against Burton but had been otherwise playing OK before then, he's being scapegoated somewhat when Ricketts has been equally poor for a while.

RCC
Phillips
Ramage
Ricketts
Stokes
Bigirama
Vincelot
JOB
Maddison
Lameiras
Armstrong

I think if we get the new CB in, Ramage won't play and I just can't see Phillips being selected at all. TM himself said he was distraught after the Burton game.

Whoever he picks has to stand up and give it everything. A draw here would be no good at all, expecting a tight game (due to our lack of form & confidence)but 3 points is a must. Then start to build some momentum and get back into this title race.

Looks like this could be one of our smallest home gates unless there's a huge walk up.

less than 8000 sold so far. Possibly another 3000 by Saturday 3pm..... plus whatever Scunthorpe bring.

If the expected materialises then 13k wouldn't be too bad at all all things considered. They must be expecting a walk up of 4K. Hmmmm

Is fleck suspended for this game as well? Thought it was only the one game for accumulative yellows?

Jim O'Brien needs to play tomorrow. His pressing and high work rate could be especially valuable in this game. 3 points is an absolute must.

Scunthorpe have already said they will press and close down tomorrow, so we do need battlers in there. If not JOB you would think Hunt and/or Cole.

Agree. Definetly don't start with Lameries and bring Madders on after 60 minutes.

Am I the only one who finds it amusing when people say bring player X on after X minutes?

How can you predict what subs to make 29 hours before kick off.

I know, ridiculous. Should never be until 16 hrs before at a minimum. 29 hours before is just stupid.

Otis, I have to say, your positivity is somewhat infectious.

I'm therefore going for a 5-0 win to us. Don't care who scores (although 5 Gary Mac OGs would be funny).

We WILL win tomorrow. Everything in the Sky Blue garden will be rosy and our upwards trend back on track.

I'm not coming on here after the game if we don't! It was bad enough the last couple of weeks.

Well, I am usually pretty good on home games, though I did say we would beat Walsall. I was convinced we would. I did have a good feeling about the Gillingham game and the Port Vale match and we won both those and so too the Barnsley and Peterborough matches.

I have a good feeling about tomorrow and think we'll be smiling again.

You have to win the ball before you can be creative.

I still see there's doubt over Armstrong and Murphy. Hopefully, they'll both be fit.

We need to graft out the win tomorrow. Tough game to call, if we have both armstrong and murphy on the team sheet then we go into it favorites. But they'll turn up, park the bus and it's just a matter if we can break them down.

Ill go 1-0 City. Hunt with the goal. 14k.

But what about that defensive lapse & we give Paddy Madden his one chance!?

Can I tempt you with a 0-1?

Anyway I reckon 2-1 City

I'm going to make a qualified prediction. If we score in the first 20 minutes, we will win. If we don't, we will draw or lose. We need to disrupt their plan of stifling us by getting an early goal (or two).

This thread asked for predictions and tactics. Bringing a sub on at a certain time is a tactic.

You obviously didn't go to Southend last week. I personally don't rate the guy, yes he runs around the pitch for 90 mins but that's it. Creates problems as always out of position and gets in his own players way.
