What would you be happy with, this season finish wise?

it’s always been survive relegation for me and a comfortable mid table finish if that’s achieved.

Well survival isn't even worth talking about .we will comfortably stay up .

I see no reason why we can't get it right and push top half /last couple playoff places
Which would be an outstanding bit of progression .

1. Survival. 2. Better placed finish than last season. 3. Dreamland is top half.

The fact we’re in 4th has given us false hope. Won 8 lost 5. To up and down to sustain.

BUT as disappointing it is to lose tonight, we are having a tremendous season to date.

Top 10 would be a really good season.

Playoffs would be an unbelievable season.

Heart - top 6
Head - 8th to 14th

We have the potential to be right up there, but there are too many games where half the team are not at the races all at the same time.

From where we are it has to be in the top 10 and certainly if teams like Blackpool are still vying for promotion near the end of the season

14th would mean relegation form for a lot of the remaining games

Safety. Over the moon would be above where we finished last season. Easy question to answer.

We lose and out come the cry babies. FFS people. We are a good side not quite on it lately, and not much luck. It will turn again and you won't win all your home games. Swansea a very good unit, and improving fast. We struggled to find the answers but so easily could have drawn. They will be there with us. Still 4th and Brizzle Saturday.

How can you say this when Middlesborough are 14th and at a certain time during the game we’re 6th

Who is crying, we are have a sensible conversation on the rest of the season. I’m not losing it because we lost today. I’m happy after another round of games we are still in the top 6. Even when we were riding high I didn’t expect top 6 and I still don’t.

It's the hope that kills you. I think most people forget that this is an extremely poor league, as it was last season. Barnsley made the play-offs for fucks sake. With our start, there is absolutely no reason why we can't make the play-offs, but the poor performances are starting to creep in. I don't think it helps that every team seems to up their game massively against us (Barnsley, Luton, Swansea etc etc), but anything less than play-offs now would be a disappointment.

Look at the League table - with the exception of Bournemouth and (maybe) West Brom/Fulham, are there seriously any teams better than us on our day? Absolutely not.

I'm being absolutely realistic given our start. We've proved we can outplay a lot of teams in this division - why shouldn't play-offs be our aim? People who say they would be content with 12th/14th/16th etc are pathetic.

At the start of the season: avoid relegation

After 10 games: playoff push

Now: top half finish

Safety? So you think we are not good enough and we’ve fluked wins so far? You don’t have faith in the manager then?

I agree with you - we need to push on in this mediocre league and not set sights on going backwards from now

This is a comparatively weak Championship this season, achieving "safety" would be a big failure

Depends on whether Gyokeres is the real deal or a flash in the pan. If it’s the latter we have little goalscoring threat in the team
