The EFL have today confirmed the start date for the 2020/21 league season.
Coventry City's Sky Bet Championship campaign will get underway on the weekend of 12th September.
League One and League Two will also start on the same weekend.
The 2020/21 season will conclude on the 8th and 9th May 2021, with the Sky Bet Play-Off Finals reverting back to the Spring Bank Holiday weekend at the end of May.
The EFL confirmed: "Work is currently underway in respect of fixture scheduling and details will be announced in due course as to when full fixture lists for 2020/21 will be made available."

So only a few weeks of behind closed doors and then hopefully fans are allowed back in !
also believe 1st round of league cup will be around 8th September
to be honest I would start it even earlier and the season later, to get the league cup to an advanced stage, so that crowds then come back for the 1st game, and would also give the league cup a higher profile
