NEWS: Season Ticket holder offer against Forest Green Rovers!
Wasn't someone trying to claim our marketing is non-existent??
About time they got a little savvy
People are moaning saying how they want Season Ticket holders to do their work for them.
They clearly read the thread on how he club could do things better to improve, good to see, lets see how much of a material difference it makes?
was reading the usual venom from the CT facebook crowd when this was posted...... different fecking story if we are in the shakeup in March or going to the playoffs!!
Was it the same on there?
It won't be long until the "They are desperate" line comes out.
Yeah, but people would moan that they should be free/get to play upfront/be served by monkey butlers etc etc. There'll always be something to moan about.
No good to me I'm on holiday
I will send the one I bought for you back then.
surely they should know who a season ticket holder would want to bring with them and approach the person directly on the season ticket holders behalf? Shoddy.
6 tickets available too, will people be kicking off saying it's too many and unfair?
People have been saying twenty is plenty, now it's £15 it will still be too much.
they will, until they reduce it to 2, then they'll be saying it's not enough!
Funny how certain people suddenly so concerned with the welfare of season ticket holders, the very people who are killing the club
They Listened or read my Idea on here!
It's too much....they're desperate.....
Funny, the 24 friends we can buy for have not been in touch with me yet about buying these for them but they were for Wembley in seconds.....As a cracked record, I will continue to say that its not about the affordability/prices, all about a winning team in the right league, everyone has a different threshold for that, PL/Champ/L1 and sadly L2 now
It's a fair price at £15 but the opposition and the fact it is on a Tuesday night will mean that there will be no increase really. I think there will probably be more at the following home game on the Saturday at £26. And before anyone starts, yes £26 is too much!
DISCLAIMER...This is not a complaint, merely an observation.
I have 3 match packages which works out at £20 each per match, so if a season ticket holder can get me 3 tickets for £15 each I can save £15 overall and use the match packages for full price matches.
Not going as it happens but still, something to ponder. If I use my match packages for this game I would feel so wretched and used. Just a thought.
Funny how people are moaning about people moaning.
There was only one comment on Coventry City fans forum on face book and that said why not make it simple and charge everyone £20 and kids free.
Can't argue with that really.
don't use them. Speak to a season ticket holder and get a ticket for £15 and use the match day packet for a game that doesn't have an offer on.
In short, this deal has saved you even more money if your going to this game
Fifteen is obscene.
It's a good gesture, but in reality it's not great.
As a season ticket holder with a JSB season ticket also. I would say out of 4000 season ticket holders , 500 to 750 would be JSB. Which means if you wanted to bring your friends family it's cheaper to use family ticket voucher for 20 quid and you can purchase it on the day. I think ther may even be a few kids for quid vouchers.
So basically it's only an offer for season ticket holders without JSB season ticket holders also.
Also the crowd we want to be targeting are the walk ups no incentive for them.
Also still can't fathom the concept of our ticket office closed on a certain day Wednesday...our majority source of income is bums on seats. You would think skeleton staff, even if it was one person should be open.
Not everybody has a kid though, I'd say it is more aimed at people bringing their mates along.
The JSB offer sheet is already decent though!
Notts County 8633
Newport C. 7838
Port Vale. 6508
Exeter City. 7218
Crewe 7414 . Don't have official away attendance so assuming 250 Crewe.
The above are all home fans in attendance after subtracting away fans.
Hopefully To see if this offer has been taken up well or not we would have to compare the FGR attendance to the Midweek game vs Carlisle in which was the lowest ever.
I would hope home fans attendance vs FGR would be 7000 at least with offer and improvement with results.
Colchester I would say we should be targeting at least 8000 home fans this would definitely show a steady increase over the last few games and hopefully if still challenging for autos and at least in play off places. We wouldn't see a drop below 10 k total attendances From November onwards.
There definitely weren't 250 Crewe.
I think they pre sold about 220
I think they should pick a game that is likely to be quiet (lets say the Fri 22nd Dec one) and have a Alzheimer's charity evening.
Offer Free entry to everyone who buys a xmas hat for at least £5 which we donate to the charity. Make it a real community and family event at xmas time, and ask local media to support the event and the drive to raise money for the charity.
Invite children from local schools onto the pitch before hand waving flags. Have an ex players 5 a side before the game (maybe 87 team v prem all stars), and get as many people as possible (especially those who have walked away) buying back into the brand.
Really encourage a family evening out. Ask people to bring their kids and their parents. Get a roving camera showing pictures of families sitting together on the big screen etc.
Bill it as the largest charity event ever held in Coventry, so its not just about the football.
We have a huge stadium and it would be great to fill it in league two. Imagine the publicity and good will.
The alternative is a 8000 crowd....
Not really a great offer though is it ?! £15 to watch League 2 football on a cold Tuesday night !
...watch as we get tonked 3-0 in front of a record crowd.
I would say: we do have the second highest attendance in the division. So while it’s bad for a “big club”, it’s pretty good for a l2 side.
Waheey, a friend round the corner is on a holiday for half term so I have two free season tickets for this match !!
I cant find any fucker to take mine
A few years back when I had a season ticket, we were given a couple of free tickets now and then for friends and family. I struggled to give them away where I live but Cov is only 9 miles away so me and the Mrs would do a bit of shopping In the City and stop the car and give the tickets away to the first young lads we saw out on the streets in a City shirt who were not already going to that particular game.
