Season ticket sales and would be new players (1 Viewer)

Stoke City have just smashed their transfer fee record and signed Xherdan (how do you pronounce that ?) Shaqiri, subsequently there has been a rush of season ticket sales. If we made a major marquee signing could a similar thing happen here, especially as we look a decent team with at last a bit of hope.

Bit of a difference in name & quality to what a L1 side could get, to get a few through the door on a name would be signing someone like Paul Scholes (won't happen) a Chris Eagles won't have fans flocking in on him alone.

Even a Scholes would need to put match winning performances in like Wise did before stay away fans part with £20 to see him.

Shaquiri was a top signing no doubt but its the 'arms race' for all prem clubs to stay in the league for the big payouts coming from the TV deals. Sadly we are not quite in that category, it would take a few signings for people to take stock and be sitting in the shakeup after christmas.
