Ooooooh a weekly prize draw to 'tempt' us

thinking about it. If there is only 400 season tickets and there is a weekly prize draw, there is about a 10% chance you would win at some point during the season.

Whats the prize, a gift voucher for the club shop (unless its closed for a stock take)

First prize is a free ticket to the following game.

Second prize is 5 free tickets to the following game.

Third prize is 20 tickets to the following game

And 10th and final prize is 8 free season tickets.

Perhaps a seat on the bench at the start of the season or an afternoon in the pub with Tim Fisher (raincoat supplied)

. There are 13 prizes, the draw isn't all the way through the season, 2 of the prizes have already gone, you get to pick from a list of things, which disappear once taken so others can't take them, they are things like a signed shirt,£50 to spend in the club shop, a game in an executive box (taken), an extra season ticket, year of sky blue player, a signed ball, a chance for a child to be a mascot, a car park season ticket, an away coach season ticket, a chance to watch the team train, a season of home programmes.

not on my part

i like torchy, i understand people have their reasons for going sixfields, i dont hate anyone.

but i do believe they help keep us there longer than we might if we had 0 fans turn up, and also i just dont agree with home games in northampton, by attending it is admitting defeat imo and letting owners/council win.

i dont think fans should go sixfields.

Have you been smoking that funny stuff againimp:.

Jokes aside I cant find one bit of that comment I disagree with.

Perhaps it becomes very tiresome when the same rapid posters repeatedly make strange accusations and dress them up as facts.

400 season ticket holders will not change the clubs destiny either way. Its used by stirrers such as Kop to create supporter division.

He is a grade one knob head and will now claim I'm abisuve yet he abuses supporters on a daily basis and gets away with it.

I'm beginning to wonder if these people have anything else in their lives other than CCFC.
Nothing wrong with this but it might explain why they are reluctant to upset the Sisu apple cart.

Well, what a surprise!!! We have sold more tickets now than when they were unavailable last year - who writes this drivel? What logic do they use? At times, it's laughable, but these are the people running our club.......sigh.

I'm surprised they didn't try to go for the "season ticket sales up 400 percent, ALL HAIL SISU" angle.

“While most are renewals, several fans who have signed up to season tickets this year didn’t do so at all last year.

This is the funniest part of the story for me, the sentance makes it sound like its the best pre season ever. Several, yes several new fans will be joining us, wow, it must be so exciting, how do Tim and Joy contain themselves with this level of optimism.

Given that 400 people have bought tickets, its now too late already for the "what if no one went" argument - so best thing you can do as a Cov fan is buy a season ticket. Hoping this will all be resolved and we will be back at the Ricoh is like waiting for the secong coming - it aint gonna happen.
Are you really so bothered about this that you will risk another season of missing football?

But why would I buy one if I have absolutely no intention of ever setting foot inside Sixfields for a 'Home' game. If you want to go then fine, but you shouldn't be telling others what to do as there are people on this forum that get really upset about that.

I didn't miss that much football, I just supported local teams, lower standard but still entertaining in its own right. In all I think I attended about 15 matches, at 3 different clubs.

I miss the club terribly, but yes I will miss yet another season of football I'm sad to say.

I will not attend until they come home.

I am referring to the "fact" that if no one bought a season ticket this would make a swifter return to Coventry. There is nothing to suggest this is the case its a wildly unscientific accusation.

Haha applying scientific reasoning to Coventry City

Agree with the statement though I don't think our owners would give a toss if the place was empty or not.

I think for a lot of people not attending it's their only way to tell the owners of the club what they are doing is wrong, bit like people voting UKIP to get across a point about immigration.

For me personally I feel guilty that this year my little girl (5yrs old) has been asking to go and see the sky blues and due to my views that being there is wrong I haven't taken her, I genuinely can't see this changing on my behalf and I've got three mates in the same boat who have stopped all took kids at some point.

A lot of people out there Andreas whether the club/fans who attend like it or not will simply not budge JR result IMO won't make a blind bit of difference either.

I would quite happily go to Sixfields, and support the new stadium project, if SISU could show a business plan that supports their actions and shows them to be the best course of action for our club. At the moment I don't believe they are acting in the best interests of our club and that is the reason I choose not to attend. Does it make any difference? Doubt it but what else can we do as fans to show our feelings at the situation we are in?

AndreasB said:

The problem is for a lot of people after one season with no football in Coventry they won't be that bothered about another season, people are finding other things to do and moving into that group that only turn up for the big games. The longer it goes on the smaller the fan base will be.

'Several' means 'more than one, a handful, but not many' and they're bragging about it!? Desperate or what?

Yes if you don't buy early you might miss out altogether when we all take Andreasb's advice, I can see the queue forming now.
