Garrison, if you go you know you'll be supporting SISU taking the club out of the city. A total boycott and we'd be at the Ricoh the next week.
Attention seeking or couldn't give a shit about the club. Which one are you?
Some people just want to support their team.......

I understand the Sixfields boycott, and I will not attend myself. What bothers me, is that if it has the desired effect and we return to the Ricoh, the same people will then be calling for a boycott of the Ricoh, and I am not sure how they reconcile that. I do very much hope that if we play in Coventry people will continue to attend and support the team. I think it will be a travesty if fan power wins the day, but then nobody turns up to watch them play where we all say they belong. All credibility will be lost.
What team is that then cuz it damn sure isnt Coventry City while they ply their trade in Northampton and believe me when I hear people say they are buying a ST to support Cov City, It makes me laugh.

Playing outside of Coventry doesn't mean the club ceases to be Coventry City though, it the same way that Brighton, Bristol Rovers and Rotherham did not lose their identities when they were exiled for short periods.
The difference here of course is the circumstances. Those clubs had nowhere to play, whereas we do, so the whole thing is unnecessary and the boycott is justified.
Question though; let's say city never moved from Highfield Road, but were eventually evicted by the housing developers and then had to temporarily relocate outside the city while they looked at options in Coventry (so a Brighton situation). Would you have turned your back on the club in that instance?
The first game back at the Ricoh will be well attended, will be almost a party atmosphere, SISU will have given in and it will be a relief.
Dream scenario is an apology from SISU and promise of investment, ACL sell the stadium to them and we all move on.

I had no intention of getting one. I just wanted to see what seats had been taken to judge the interest?

We've had the apologies and what difference did that make? Dream scenario for me is definitely not SISU owning the stadium....they have proven themselves to be completely untrustworthy, incompetent and uncaring and a dream scenario for me would be for them to get as far away from my club as possible and give someone else who at least gives the fans some consideration a chance. If we're back at the Ricoh under these clowns then so will I be...but that will be when the next battle begins.
The big difference is, we do have our own ground of which inside was built for Coventry City Football Club. I am strongly of the opinion that the minute the whistle goes and we are kicking off at Sixfields, we will never see CCFC again, thats the reality and at that point I will say I used to support Coventry City but they do not exist as it stands. They can play at the Ricoh for free but have still declined????
I am not trying to over dramatise matters but thats my reasoning. Quite simply, you play in the City or Town you represent and Northampton will have 2 teams representing them.
£207 !! Im in at that price
I highlighted the difference in my own post, so no disagreement there.
I do disagree we'll never see CCFC again if they start in Northampton. I think a scenario where we start the season at Sixfields but make a hasty return to Coventry is feasible (and actually likely) - surely that would be exactly what the boycott would be trying to achieve? Are you saying a boycott would be pointless?
Of course not, what is concerning is what plans SISU have for us. They have already shown that they generally dont give a crap what any of us think. I hope you are right but I cannot see all this planning going in for Northampton just for a couple of games, it doesnt make sense. Why advertise Season Tickets?? Does that mean if we go back to the Ricoh they contact all of the Northampton season ticket holders and ask for an extra £100 or do we all get season tickets for £207 at the Ricoh?? If we start at Sixfields I believe we stay their for many years to come.
Skybluemilf, you might say you're getting a season ticket at £207 but you try buying one, the system doesn't work as of a minute ago and hasn't worked for some days I understand. & how someone said they'd sold 315 beats me. If the booking system doesn't work, you can't buy one as they don't have a physical ticket office. You will get scammed, beware.
Anyone going to Sixfields needs their head looking at. Nobody goes, they will cave in.
Get rid of these rotten crooks. A football club without supporters is nothing.
I really do hope people are using a credit card as can see sisu taking the money. Who is being paid?? Otuum??
The shop is back up again, it wasn't this morning.
Quick glance around shows 27 misc seats taken, with some big blocks in the premium zone mapped taken.
