Well they stormed out of the Alan Higgs Centre, only having to return with their tail between their legs, when the alternative didn't seem so palatable. Perhaps you can explain even if the stadium was gifted to them, even though I expect that would be declared illegal, how could CCFC ever earn SISU over £60 million to recompense her investors. History is littered with companies that many people felt were inviolable, only for them to crash and burn. At the end of the day if fans stay resolute in their determination not to go to Sixfields, and so far the unity has been outstanding, then SISU simply can't ever win. A professional football club without fans is completely worthless.
Any company who bought the club and the Ricoh would have them as separate companies. It would be stupid not to.
mark I'm afraid you don't understand how this war is being fought.
Why don't people want the club to own the Ricoh? Are they worried that the owners will set up a seperate company, take all the revenues from it and charge high rent to the club?
That's got to be a valid concern. SISU want the Ricoh, but are not too fussed about the team. The one thing that SISU seem to be efficient at is ensuring that any money owed is owed by the club and not by SISU. And... any assets are owned by SISU and not by the club :thinking about::thinking about:
Why should Coventry taxpayers subsidise a private company? That's the only question here. Sisu have lost large amounts of money through poor management and the only way to make a return is to increase the value by buying the Ricoh below market value. Why should my council tax go to ensure millionaire Joy Seppala doesn't have a bad investment?
Even in your dream scenario, the club loses out:
Sisu pick up the Ricoh for peanuts.
Sisu sell the club & stadium for say £40m (do we seriously believe someone will pay this?)
Club now £40m in debt (standard practice to load the cost of acquisition onto the club, this is what Sisu did when "making us debt free")
Sisu walk away having lost virtually nothing.
How are we now in a better position?
I understand how Sisu want this, but what's the benefit for me as a CCFC fan?
Taxpayers have just funded ACL to the tune of £14 million have they not?
Stuart Linnell (MBE). Nikki Sinclaire and Les Reid support this campaign so it must be balanced, even handed, with no agenda. I expect they will all go on a demo outside Sisu offices next.
The sameLes Reid and Nikki Sinclaire that have heavily criticised Sisu?
Where has this thing about Les Reid being pro Sisu come from? What utter bollocks.
No they have not. Next question?
Edit: for the hard of thinking: CCC took out a loan then loaned that money AT A HIGHER APR to ACL. It's a profitable commercial decision that will make the taxpayer money. Even more so when you consider it was made to protect an investment of over £100m that kind of relies of ACL being viable.
It's taxpayer money however it was obtained. Someone has to pay it back and at the current time ACL will struggle to do so.

Maybe the fact that he continually champions Sisu's preferred outcome? Maybe because he suspiciously wrote this article days before being granted an exclusive interview by Seppala? Maybe because he attacks anyone who is not pro-Sisu?
Also, putting "I'm not pro-Sisu but" into articles like Les and this new splinter group do is identical to "I'm not racist but".
Find me somewhere where Nikki Sinclaire has criticised Sisu since meeting with Seppala and agreeing to help her investigate EU funding (what happened to that by the way, surely not more "costly legal action"?)
No. It's. Not. It's the bank's money and it made ACL more viable so more likely to pay back the loan.
And again if ACL go bust CCC taxpayers lose an order of magnitude more than £14m.
Just because you really really want what you say to be true doesn't make it so. Sorry.
This is not ACL or the Councils doing. SISU refused to pay the rent they signed up for. If they are genuine just buy the RICOH at its current market value. Do this and we will be behind them again...simple!
They've stated several times they'd only be back as OWNERS,
local businesses are losing out on much needed money as a result of the club not playing in the city
its up to all sides to talk, everything must be done by supporters to get us back to the Ricoh.
Petition Signed and will attend council protest.
So that makes it ok to find a new owner for the club?
Yes. Sisu themselves stated that the club was not financially viable going forward, given the rent levels (even reduced) and other factors. They backed that up by putting it into administration. Why *wouldn't* they be looking for new owners? Doesn't mean that Sisu were obligated to sell to them.
Everyone should be signing for the good of our club and for the good of our City, SISU have answered our questions it's now time for the Council and ACL to do the same..

SISU have answered the questions with lies and rumour after rumour. Where is the truth in any thing they say.
When are the acl replica shirts going on sale? Some people on here are laughable.
Please provide an example of a lie.
Oh dear, more abuse from the Sisu apologists with no evidence or discussion.
You do seem happier on GMK Nick, have a poll and handover the site to someone more in keeping with the majority view.
You mean you actually know somebody who believes a word Seppala says, ASTONISHING.Well he is clearly not pro-Sisu. And what is wrong with him thinking that something Sisu offer is ok. We are not all that far gone we can only see one side of the coin.
Nikki Sinclaire - maybe Joy told her things that changed her mind? There is clearly more to this story than has been let out in public. Who knows?
Please provide an example of a lie.
It amounts to the same thing. Yes, I was being mischievous, but you have said yourself that CCFC returning to Coventry is of secondary concern to you. I think being in Northampton is hugely damaging to CCFC, but evidently you have more important things to worry about, like getting one over those nasty little hedge-funders.
how about timmys " like we always said, the players contracts rest in holdings"
how long did it take for leaked documents to prove that statement factually incorrect?
No they have not. Next question?
