If SISU get the stadium they may leave, they may not, however looking at the options for them recouping their investment it looks likely to me that selling them the stadium as part of an exit strategy has a big risk of leaving the club in a horrendous position financially.

That is what I fear the most, CCFC will be left paying for SISU's mistakes for decades! Left as a cash cow to be farmed as much as possible.

So what, lets get shot of all of the debt however it came about.

Why would you want a club that is paying to sustain massive debts for years to come, that's what you'll get if SISU get the Arena!

And you might as well forget about the football side, well we pretty much have already and that is down to SISUs machinations 100%.

I warn you, if SISU get the Arena the future will be all about paying them back for decades, directly or indirectly.

Giet the stadium independantly valued, give it to SISU with the proviso that when they sell ACL/HIGGS get the valuation amount plus a % of resale profit, if they havnt/dont sell in a set timescale then they must pay a preset agreed price for the ground.

you could make an argument for that, for example leaving HR. on the financial side however SISU picked the club up for virtually nothing, including people handing their shares over. I think I'm right in saying that while the pre-SISU debt appears to have stayed on the books SISU didn't actually pay Robinson etc anywhere near the amount they were owed. The difference would be if SISU load debt against the stadium and then sell the club the new owner will still have to pay those debts or we will lose the stadium.

In essence SISU started at near enough zero, if they mortaged the Ricoh prior to leaving a new owner would inherit tens of millions of debt which could have a huge impact on are future for decades.

Maybe.
I want Coventry City playing in Coventry, im an average fan who in reality cares little for the politics of the situation, as much i would like to pick sides, get nvolved and help make a difference its not going to happen.
Success for my club, playing in Coventry is the only real point!

This pre-supposes that Sisu would honour any such agreement. Would you trust them to do that?

You cant just ignore the fact that Sisu have burnt their bridges with many Cov fans; It is very likely 1000's will still not go if Sisu get the Ricoh and CCFC move back.
In short Sisu are the problem not part of the solution.

Fickle fans, anything like success in this league or the championship would have fans going back in their droves, politics would soon be forgotten if he team are doing well, JPT semi final full house proves that, the hate for sisu may not have been to the extent it is now but it was still there, an xtra 20k fans from a little tin pot cup success shows the potential support for a successfu team!

Everything we say at the moment is conjecture and simply guesswork. However, I doubt 1000s would stay away. Hundreds maybe.

The taxpayer has already bailed out the Arena once. To the tune of £14M. And at the same time as shutting down loads of care homes. Is that what you want CCC to do?

a secured loan against an asset is hardly a bail out, at some point the tax payer will get their money back with interest. what happened to the banks was a bail out, huge loss to the tax payer with little to no chance of getting all our money back in full let alone with interest. as for the care homes Coventry has a labour led council so they are always going to cut front line, shop window services as a way of making bad headlines for the coalition. its the same at any labour run council and has absolutely nothing to do with the ricoh or ACL.

scrotium is fitting for otium, they are ballsing our club out of existence and timmy even looks like one. besides it annoys shitsu apologist.

also i note you haven't agreed that it would be wrong for CCC to bail out shitsu and scrotium. i hope this was because you were to busy scrambling over yourself to attempt to have a dig at my reply. on the off chance that you think its right for local authorities to bail hedge funds i would suggest you go away, lock yourself in a darkroom, have a good think to yourself and not come out until your head and arse have been screwed on the right way.

ooo! here's an idea, perhaps we can protest at Walsgrave until they donated their dialysis machines to shitsu. if your happy for a hedge fund to take the piss out of local service providers we may as well make sure they have the right equipment to do so.

not as much as 10,000+ voting with their feet and staying away from sixfields, only an idiot would ignore that fact.

i see someone has replied to this with "if". "if" is too high of a risk to take with something that you love. "if" they don't they would be the only ethical hedge fund in the world. tell me shitsu's history dictates that this wont happen? i don't just mean their history at our club, google Sisu litigation and see how many pages come up and see how many mirror what they have done at our club. "if" is a high risk

Given that some people on here seem pleased that in a poll 70% of "fans" want the club to stay in Northampton I'd say your right. ACL first CCFC second.

Grow up, although the guy on CWR wants whats right, Cov in Cov, the whole campaign has one purpose on the run up to the JR appeal on 28 November, to instigate a change in public opinion against the Council. Mark Labovitch has planted the seeds with a number of parties, although most in Cov can read through this, sadly Mr Reid is also being played, but he doesn't mind as long as he sells papers.
