with that interview being so negative and confirming peoples thoughts about sisu only wanting the ricoh. i will be going to protest on the hill and i urge ALL sky blue fans to do the same. whether you agree or not about a protest on the hill we need to do this. so whether you go in the ground or stand on the hill make it known what you think.

i know there are other threads about protests that day but you should do what you feel is best in a peaceful way.

    lets get these people out.

Well the most effective protest of course would be a total 100% boycott of Sixfields for that game.

True, SP and the team deserve better but this is all about the bigger picture.

However for that to happen there would need to be 100% solidarity behind the NOPM cause. And that ain't gonna happen as long as you have a hardcore of 1500 who are prepared to go to that cowshed in Northampton.

No doubt about it in my mind, those 1500 are giving Joy hope that with a few well chosen words she can sway more fans over.

    Stay strong. NOPM

    Nopm from the hill.

Unless it's to the pub and McDonald's on the hill.

tbh seeing how this thread has attracted very little interest, the completely divided response to the initial plan for sheff u and the Trust not supporting anything on Jimmy's Hill things are not looking great for 13 oct. I'm bowing out for a while after Sunday and I just hope people will rally behind the guy - he posts on here as Turkey Trot - who will be organising it

    Big shame really.

When the game was announced on TV 90% of people said protest on the hill etc.
For some reason many gave decided against this..

If only the Sixfields 1000 would do a Valencia and walk out, even if it is only during 1/2 time.. a protest in front of cameras would make a huge media splash.

the farcical thing is that 100% of posters on here want to see CCFC,
the divide has been caused by which ever party / faction you side with,
we all have an opinion as to who is to blame for our predicament,
but, this whole scenario, is, primarily, being played out by a series of persons, who,
care very little for OUR club,
in this regard money or power, is their motivation,
the true injustice, imho, is that the governing bodies (various),
    adhere to that exact principle,
so, FL / FA / gov't / owners / controllers, try acting like a reasoned human being,
    instead of megalomaniacs,

there is a 20 page thread on this

what we REALLY need now is 1 idea and everyone to run with it.

The most sensible, in my opinion would be for everyone to (as a one off) buy a ticket, a and agree a time when we signing "IN OUR COVENTRY HOMES" and all walk about and head to the hill.

We go viral on internet, get mentioned on Sky and protest on the hill.

There have been 100 suggestions and we are nearing the date

There has to be one suggestion that we run with, be it 5 people or 5,000.

Whatever decision is made by NOPM / KCIC I will support, but they need to decide

A sign of what, that people are weary of protest but no doubt some will judge it a sign of what?

We can tell our elderly parents not to be taken in by conmen but it still happens.

Because the biggest con merchants make it so plausable at the time, yet on analysis, it becomes obvious even to the simple minded with a little prompting can see the obvious

    No different here with Seppalla

So what has that got to do with ideas for a potential protest??

precisely, we , as Coventry City fans, have by hugely varying degrees been treated with utter contempt, by so many, for too long,
the never ending question, is of course,
how do we change things ?
    politicians rely on votes,
    financiers rely on backers,
the law should uphold the truth,
fans, hope that footballing authorities will be true to them,
    I WANT MY CLUB BACK

we, have been treated with utter contempt,

A sign that idea isn't followed or believed in by most people.

I go to sixfields but I do agree there should be some kind of walk out , in front of the cameras , straight after second half kick off?
Even my stance to support my team and attend sixfields , I sometimes feel that something should be being done there , my red and green scarf idea fell no deaf ears , there always seems to be someone that thinks their idea is better
The trust simply isn't up for the battle , they're only observing , time for some actions to bring about a move back to coventry , all this divide is pathetic

Good call Ern, Sky filming in an empty stadium with maybe a few Sheffield United fans would surely have the desired effect and leave SISU looking very, very stupid.

As for the regular Sixfields attendees, it's a free country and it's their choice, they couldn't argue about missing the match as they can see it for free on tv.

Everyone's a winner except for SISU losing face.

my favoured idea is the walk out but if we can get as many people as possible to the hill and maybe turkey trot can organise from there.

whatever people think we have the most perfect chance to show our feelings with no premiership games. as john cena says our time is now

I think people need to chill out a bit on this one. If we get a gate similar to other "home" games, it's going to look pretty damn empty on the box, particularly with the stand opposite the cameras being closed. Anyone watching the game unaware of our plight will see immediately that the majority of City fans are boycotting. Hopefully a few more who have been going will skip this one as it's on tv and the point will be made. Any visible protesting in the background on the Hill will be a bonus.

If you do nothjing then you're acquiescing to continued attendance at Northampton.

I'll just point out that the goalposts are moving on the 'new' stadium dates..

    In July TF said...
    On Thursday Joy said...
So what is next, 7 years?

The deal with Northampton was always 3 years with the option of 2 more if needed. So nothing new here.

I agree, for this one day we should all be united and show the World we are genuine supporters. Those who go into Sixfields walk out at a set time in second half and leave an empty stadium. The few who stay will be confirmed as those who support the move.
Everyone on the Hill for last 20 mins.

It's simple, those that want to go to the hill to show their dismay at our situation then they should do so, I'm hoping to be able to provide free/ reduced travel costs for this event.
Those that want to attend the game and stage a "protest" by walking out at some point during the match then that can happen, I'm working on some ideas for this to take place at a given time so the mass walk out (if it happens) will be more effective. Whatever your plans are for either then carry on with them and I'll update nearer the time. Anyone with any suggestions please private message me (I don't have a monopoly on good ideas) All I'd say is whatever is decided please respect those fans that choose to go to Sixfields and watch the match til the end.
One promise I will make is that if a mass protest is considered a viable option the signal to start the exodus will be spectacular!

Simon, those that choose to stay will stay for their own reasons, I really don't think anyone of the fans want us at Sixfields. This shouldn't be about taking sides, this shouldn't be about splitting the fans, this shouldn't be about who's to blame and where that portion of the blame lays. It should be about raising our ridicules situation to the footballing public. It's about our future.
Dividing fans doesn't help anyone, we just become more entrenched in our opinions.

All be united as long as they come out on the hill? Surely it would look better to have a full house that then emptied?

Going from a full stadium to near enough empty mid way through the game would show even more surely? I have watched league 2 and 1 games where the ground is pretty much empty and not thought anything of it...

However the ground emptying would say a lot more..

Even if 500 stay in its a bigger statement than 100 outside in the hill that can't be seen

IMO buying a ticket then walking out as a protest against the very people whose funds you've just donated to, is plain daft.

Live screening at the Ricoh in front of 10,000, Sky cameras frequently switching to the real fans.

Now that would be some statement.

But they can Nick.. they were featured behind the shoulder of Sky's Presentation team the other week, unless Sky are made to change the camera angles to exclude them.

1000+ on the hill and a 1000+ walking out can't be ignored by anyone.

A live screening at the rich would appear as much pro ACL as it would anti sisu.
