Bloody awful!
Can’t begin to understand why professionals who are trained to do good could have allowed this to happen
Makes me so cross but more sad. Im so sorry you all went through thatMy wife gave birth at Princess Royal Telford in late 2019. She went into labour at 8am, by around midnight it was clear nothing was happening any time soon. She was exhausted, in a great deal of pain (and had a past history of having pain related fits) and sporadically a doctor would pop in and despite her requesting a C section she was told to wait another hour. This happened a number of times until 5am when the doctor finally against his wishes had to perform a C section. He was very insistent how dangerous it was and how he did not think it in my wife's best interests. Our baby had managed to get her umbilical chord wrapped around her head and a traditional birth would have been very dangerous.
The Doctor was very poor and showed no interest in my wife's feelings whatsoever. Had he not relented we may well have been another number to add to the terrible statistics. The midwife (who clearly thought the doctor should have acted much sooner, but presumably didn't want to speak up in his presence as she would get in trouble) and all other staff we encountered were absolutely wonderful.
