Side ways passing (2 Viewers)

At first it was good to see cov retaining the ball and moving it about and looking comfortable on the ball, it’s still good so don’t get me wrong BUT not one player including mr safe pass Clingan wants to pass the ball forward. Not one cov player can play a killer ball forward. OR is the forward line not good enough in moving defenders around to create space for a killer pass.

King going is a massive miss. He would drag defenders all over the place leaving gaps for the midfield to run into. I see none of that happening at the minute and unless we address this issue, the Duke will want out (he must be getting cheesed off, he does a lot upfront) and we just aint going to score enough goals to stay up.

Sammy and the rest of them play to main safe balls to the side ALL THE TIME to avoid making a mistake.

Thorny is the man for the job without doubt but we need start passing the ball forward

I agree par1sons

It is infuriating that compared to last year we now have huge amounts of time on the ball instead of route 1 BUT I call this pitter patter football it's just containment and in an ideal world we would be always racking up 0-0's.

As well as reluctant to pass forward, so blatantly obvious this is a coaching tactic, nullifying some of the players instict to go forward we are also seriously shot shy when in advantageous positions.

AT must give the players more free expressioon upfront or the lack of goals wil cost us dearly.

Correct, Bell and Clingan are lokked as senior pro's in our dressing room, they need to take more responsibility on the ball, yes they move and are always willing to take the ball, but then ultimately we are looking to them to create something.

It could also be argued that that King being all over the place did'nt help the team overall, while it made him look spectacular ,JMO,how many goals did anyone knock in under Thorn in that run ,the real defficiency for me is when we get it in wide positions ,the options there for the overlap and cross for the two strikers to attack,or cut in and attack the box with low accurate pass for the said strikers and whoever backs them up ,Husseyv often makes that move but is a bit lightweight,if he really went at it he'd win several pens .what tends to happen is an aerial ball, possibly from 20 -25 yards ,which are meat and veg to defenders and goalies
