SISU's Net Transfer Expenditure

Take a quick look here:

You can get a pretty comprehensive and accurate look at our transfer history under SISU (and before)-shows that since the takeover, our net earnings from transfers are around £1-1.5m. Also seems to suggest that we got £650k for Turner, kept under wraps nicely...

No, though at this moment in time we've not received any money for Gunnar so the figure's probably accurate for now.

If my maths is correct - and it often isn't - I make it £2.3m net income from 08/09 to date; this excluding any money for Jutkiewitz, and anything forthcoming regarding Gunnar. So, in practise, in the region of £4m+

True, I didn't factor in the Juke sale-though I've calculated it based on the 07/08 season to start with, and tried to only include transfers which happened after the takeover. Either way, it's a good few million!

SISU took control of the club in December 2007, so pretty much exactly 4 years ago. At the time, people handed over shares, and Robinson et al wrote off loans and debts so that the club could start partially 'debt free'.

Looking at transfer activity from that moment to today, it appears the club have raised net income in excess of £4m. The remortgage of Ryton last spring via Swynson raised an additional £1m; and the sale of Prozone by Sky Blue Sports and Leisure raised an additional £5m.

So, I make that £10m of income achieved.

I think SISU assumed responsibility for some of the historical debts, and this was in the order of £26m.

So, when we are told there's a £30m investment - by means of a loan, I believe - that SISU have made in the club; that means there's a £4m worsening of our position during their tenure, even allowing for £10m-worth of extraordinary income.

As such, it appears we've been losing, on average, £3.5m a season right from the start. Have SISU ever made any explanations as to how their business model, or expectation appears quite so flawed?

Sorry - i know you're just trying to work it out but its almost pointless to speculate. We don't, and will never, know the full extent to their investment/who wrote what off/or any more of the details involving the finances of the club during their tenure.

You can now add another £1.8m. to the pot ,according to the CT we only shelled £300,000,max to everton ,with them recieving ,£200,000 from this sale ,another poor spot by AT ,you'd think they would give him £500,000 of it would'nt you ,and then we still don't know how much they let Gunner slip through our fingers for ,and that other great bit of business on Turner £650,000 what a ffing joke.

Thorn is kept well out of the loop so I doubt he knows anything about these deals until the player's out the door-still, we spent all the money we did have on McDonald who's spent much of the time injured or unfit. Usually what happens when you're forced to scrape the barrel for a signing
