City to bid £250,000 for 20-year-old Dylan McGeouch

Dylan McGeouch

Coventry City boss Steven Pressley has opened talks with Celtic about a January move for Dylan McGeouch.
According to reports in Scotland, Pressley is considering a bid of around £250,000 for the 20-year-old midfielder.
City are operating under a signing embargo but if rules dictate that a permanent deal can’t be struck this month, Pressley will still attempt to seal an initial six-month loan.
McGeouch has made 26 appearances for the Hoops and has won ten Scotland under-21 caps.

spoke to a few hoops fans, they say he's worth much more than that, but we might be able to get him on loan as pressley is well respected as a coach north of the border.

Dylan McGeouch

Dylan McGeouch (born 15 January 1993) is a Scottish footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Scottish Premiership club Celtic and the Scotland under-21 team.

[h=2]Club career[edit][/h][h=3]Early career[edit][/h]McGeouch started his career with Celtic and was often a ball boy during his time there.[SUP][4][/SUP] However, he left in 2008 after his brother, Darren, who was also in Celtic's youth system, fell out of favour with the club. Dylan then went to Rangers, but he returned to Celtic in 2011 after Neil Lennon visited his house and asked him to come back.[SUP][5][/SUP] Rangers manager Walter Smith had appealed to McGeouch to stay at Rangers.[SUP][2][/SUP]
[h=3]Celtic[edit][/h]McGeouch made his Celtic debut on 6 November 2011 when he came on as a late substitute in a 2–1 win over Motherwell.[SUP][6][/SUP] On 26 November, he made his second appearance for Celtic, coming on as a 64th minute substitute against St Mirren. Eight minutes later he scored his first goal for the club after collecting the ball deep inside his own half and ran 70 yards, dribbling past several St. Mirren players, before striking a low left foot shot into the back of the net to seal a 5–0 victory.[SUP][5][/SUP][SUP][7][/SUP]
[h=2]International career[edit][/h]McGeouch was called up to the Scotland under-21 squad on 17 April 2012, to face Italy eight days later.[SUP][8][/SUP]

At a time when anyone who has a view on the stadium fiasco is labelled as being inherently anti-SISU; could I take this opportunity to applaud the owners - at least on this issue - for investing in the team at this critical time in the season. And no, I'm not being ironic

Rightly so, of course. The owners have done much to bring criticism to their door. Some of their actions frankly reprehensible. But, you can't knock an owner investing in the team; otherwise it nullifies genuine criticism.

I hate these kind of stories and it builds my expectation. I much prefer reading that a deal is done and dusted and we've not known a thing about it. All of a sudden I feel Dylan McGeouch is the most important player in the world and we desperately need to sign him. I gotta lie down.

To be fair the story seems to have originated north of the border. We seem to keep it quite quiet until its done. having said that, Pressley is doing a bit of talking recently.
